Ha Nam opens special exhibition on history, antiques and 100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism

(PLVN) - On June 26, at the Ha Nam Provincial Museum, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Ha Nam Provincial Journalists Association to organize the opening ceremony of the thematic exhibition "Ha Nam through history" - "Quintessence of Ha Nam antiques" and "100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025)" with the theme "Imprints of Ha Nam Journalism in the process of construction and development".

The event is a highlight in the series of activities of Ha Nam Culture - Tourism Week 2025, attracting the attention of the public, researchers and the press.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Anh Chuc - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Duc Toan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Mr. Le Xuan Huy - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council. Also attending were representatives of the Department of Cultural Heritage (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), scientists , representatives of central and local museums, antiques associations, and many members of the Provincial Journalists Association.

In his opening speech, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Mr. Mai Thanh Chung said: The thematic exhibition is an opportunity to introduce to the public the process of formation and development of the history and culture of Ha Nam province, and at the same time affirm the important contributions of the people of Ha Nam in the cause of building, defending and developing the country. Thereby, the event contributes to arousing the pride, patriotism and will to rise of the people of Ha Nam in the new era.

The highlight of the exhibition is the introduction of Ha Nam’s national treasures – including 8 typical treasures that have just been recognized by the Prime Minister. In addition, the exhibition space also displays nearly 1,000 artifacts, images, and documents collected and excavated at ancient relics and religious establishments in the province.

The event is not only a cultural activity with educational value on historical traditions and patriotism, but also a playground for exchange and connection between antique collectors and the public, contributing to preserving and promoting the value of local cultural heritage.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press, the Ha Nam Provincial Journalists Association also coordinated to organize the exhibition "100 years of Vietnam Revolutionary Press" and "Imprints of Ha Nam Press in the process of construction and development". The exhibition aims to review the glorious tradition of revolutionary press in the struggle for national independence, national reunification and the cause of innovation and international integration. At the same time, this is also an opportunity to honor journalists with outstanding contributions, fostering love for the profession and pride for today's generation of journalists.

Notably, within the framework of the event, the Organizing Committee coordinated with GisViet Joint Stock Company to test 3D digitization of some typical artifacts, applying virtual museum display technology, allowing viewers to experience heritage images online on a modern technology platform.

At the opening ceremony, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also awarded Certificates of Merit to three groups with outstanding achievements in protecting and promoting the value of national treasures, along with two individuals actively participating in the exhibition. Ha Nam Provincial Museum also received more than 70 artifacts donated by collectors inside and outside the province.

The thematic exhibition will last from June 26 to July 13, 2025.
