Hanoi is cutting down trees and widening sidewalks to expand streets that are always congested.
The Hanoi Department of Construction is relocating and cutting down trees, and narrowing sidewalks at the Le Van Luong - Hoang Minh Giam - Nguyen Tuan intersection, in order to reduce traffic congestion and ensure traffic safety.

In recent days, many sections of sidewalks near the intersection of Le Van Luong - Hoang Minh Giam - Nguyen Tuan (Thanh Xuan and Yen Hoa wards) have been trimmed and renovated to alleviate the severe daily traffic congestion.
The trees along Hoang Minh Giam Street were cut down and removed before the road was widened.
Hoang Minh Giam street has been widened by approximately 2 meters on each side.
The section of Le Van Luong Street intersecting with Nguyen Tuan Street has been widened by approximately 2 meters.
During the construction process, many trees located close to the road edge were trimmed to the top, keeping the root ball intact before being moved elsewhere, but many other trees were also cut down or sawed across the trunk...
After the trees and infrastructure were relocated, the contractor proceeded with the expansion of Le Van Luong road (towards the outskirts of the city).
