Hanoi: Ensuring enough accommodation facilities to serve tourists on National Day September 2

In response to the news that some hotels in Hanoi are "fully booked" during the upcoming National Day holiday on September 2, the Hanoi Department of Tourism affirmed that the city is fully capable of meeting the accommodation needs of tourists during this holiday.

Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang informed that the celebration of the 80th National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) will include key activities such as large-scale parades and marches, expected to attract a large number of people and tourists from provinces and cities across the country to Hanoi.

Last week, some websites reported that there was a shortage of accommodation in Hanoi during the holiday, causing concern among the tourism community. However, Ms. Dang Huong Giang said that the information about "room shortage" was only localized in some central areas, near the parade site. In fact, Hanoi still has many accommodation facilities ready to serve tourists.

"Currently, the city has 3,761 accommodation establishments with more than 71,200 rooms. Of these, there are 85 hotels and apartment complexes ranked from 1 to 5 stars with a total of nearly 12,000 rooms. In addition, 3,676 unrated establishments with nearly 60,000 rooms also participate in serving tourists. With this diverse accommodation system, Hanoi can fully meet the large number of guests during the holidays," said Ms. Giang.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism also recommends that tourists should not worry too much about accommodation. The 4-day September 2 holiday is also an opportunity to strongly activate the Airbnb system and online accommodation platforms, helping to expand the supply of accommodation for tourists. Following the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee, the Department of Tourism has requested hotels, accommodation establishments, and destinations in Hanoi to proactively prepare comprehensively: from personnel, services, tourism products to ensuring security, safety, and environmental sanitation. In addition to increasing accommodation, many rich and attractive cultural and entertainment activities will be organized to serve people and tourists coming to the capital during the holiday.

"We are ready to welcome visitors from near and far to Hanoi during the country's important holiday. With careful and synchronous preparation, Hanoi is committed to best meeting the needs of accommodation, experience and safety for visitors," affirmed Ms. Dang Huong Giang, Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism.
