Hanoi: Most processing and manufacturing industries grow in the first 8 months of 2025

In August 2025, industrial production in Hanoi continued to maintain positive growth.

Hanoi's industrial production index in August is estimated to increase by 1% over the previous month and by 8.2% over the same period in 2024, of which the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 1.4% and 8.3%; electricity production and distribution decreased by 1.1% and increased by 6.5%; water supply, waste and wastewater treatment decreased by 4.3% and increased by 9.8%; mining increased by 0.1% and decreased by 0.1%.

It is estimated that in the first 8 months of 2025, Hanoi's industrial production index will increase by 6.5% over the same period last year, of which the processing and manufacturing industry will increase by 6.7%; electricity production and distribution will increase by 5%; water supply, waste and wastewater treatment will increase by 7.1%; and mining industry will decrease by 4.2%.

In the first 8 months of 2025, most processing and manufacturing industries achieved a fairly good growth rate compared to the same period, such as: Motor vehicle production increased by 15.9%; production of non-metallic mineral products increased by 13.6%; production of leather and leather products increased by 11.1%; metal production and garment production increased by 10.2%; production of drugs, pharmaceutical chemicals and medicinal materials increased by 8.9%; production of beverages increased by 8.6%...
