The GFCI score is calculated using 145 input factors, provided by third parties including the United Nations, the World Economic Forum (WEF), the World Bank (WB), Transparency International, the World Wide Web Foundation and others.

According to the latest rankings, the two leading cities are New York (USA) and London (UK).

Hong Kong (China) retained its position as the world's third-largest financial center, narrowing the gap with the top two candidates. Hong Kong's overall score increased by 4 points, just 1 point lower than London and 2 points lower than New York.

Singapore jumped 13 points to fourth place in the rankings, just one point behind Hong Kong.

The next positions belong to San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles of the US; Shanghai, Shenzhen of China; Seoul (South Korea); Dubai (UAE); Frankfurt (Germany)...

Our country's representative, Ho Chi Minh City, ranked 95th with 664 points, higher than the GFCI 37's 654 points. In the previous ranking, the city ranked 98th.

“There has been little change in the ranking of the leading centres, with the top 10 remaining the same. However, the gap between the top four centres has narrowed to just 1 point each,” the GFCI September 2025 report stated.
