The project's implementation marks a significant turning point, transforming the To Lich River from a river in dire need of "rescue" into an attractive cultural and tourist destination for locals and visitors alike.

The highlight of the project lies in its impressive architectural structures, including artistic pedestrian bridges, boat docks, observation decks, and a historical exhibition hall, all of which will be built along the river.

The project to renovate and rebuild the park stretches over 13 km, passing through many wards such as: Ngoc Ha, Nghia Do, Lang, Giang Vo, Cau Giay, Yen Hoa, Thanh Xuan, Dong Da, Khuong Dinh, Dinh Cong, Thanh Liet, Hoang Liet...

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Ha Minh Hai, Head of the Hanoi City Party Committee's Organization Department, said that in the new era's development strategy for the capital city, the city clearly defines the requirement for rapid but sustainable development, linking economic growth with environmental protection, improving the quality of life for citizens, and building a civilized, modern, and livable city.

According to Mr. Ha Minh Hai, the To Lich River holds a special place in the history of Thang Long - Hanoi's formation and development. However, over the years, due to the impact of rapid urbanization, the river has faced numerous environmental, landscape, and ecological problems.

"The renovation, beautification, and reconstruction of the riverside areas, combined with comprehensive solutions for the water environment, is therefore not just an infrastructure investment project, but also an important socio-political task, demonstrating the city's responsibility to its people and future generations," said Mr. Ha Minh Hai.
