Key project to revitalize the historic river.

On December 19th, the Hanoi People's Committee and Sun Group officially commenced the project to renovate, upgrade, and reconstruct the park along both sides of the To Lich River. With a total investment of over 4,665 billion VND, this project is considered a significant step towards restoring the historical river and creating a new cultural symbol for the capital city.

The To Lich River, once the lifeblood of the ancient Thang Long citadel, has faced serious pollution and landscape degradation due to urbanization. In response to this situation, Hanoi city has implemented various solutions such as pollution control, dredging, and water replenishment to gradually "revive" the river.

Architectural and landscape highlights

The riverside park project spans over 13 km, passing through several districts such as Cau Giay, Dong Da, Thanh Xuan, and Hoang Mai. The project's goal is not only to improve infrastructure but also to recreate the heritage beauty and restore the To Lich River to its former glory.

The highlight of the project is the system of impressive architectural structures designed by leading international consulting firms. Notable features include an artistic pedestrian bridge, a boat dock, an observation deck, and a historical exhibition hall. These structures are expected to become works of art, preserving and celebrating the cultural values of Hanoi.

The project will feature several landmark architectural elements such as a pedestrian bridge.

The combination of architectural structures and service spaces such as cafes and upscale restaurants will transform this area into a new tourism, cultural, and entertainment hub, contributing to making the To Lich River an attractive destination for locals and tourists.

The project will celebrate traditional Vietnamese culture through various landscape design elements.

Green spaces and community amenities

The project places special emphasis on "greening" the entire To Lich River landscape axis. According to the plan, a system of shade trees, shrubs, lawns, and aquatic plants will be newly planted, creating a "green lung" for the central area, helping to improve the environment and enhance the urban landscape.

The project will create an impressive and fresh green space for the capital city.

In addition, many multi-functional community spaces will be built, including children's playgrounds, modern parking lots, resting steps, and outdoor relaxation areas. These amenities aim to diversify recreational activities and improve the quality of life for residents.

Multifunctional community spaces will be created to serve residents and visitors.

Collaborating with leading design partners

To ensure the project's quality and international stature, Sun Group has partnered with two renowned design consulting firms: EDSA (USA) and EGO GROUP (Italy). These are world-leading companies in the fields of planning, landscape architecture, and urban design.

Implementing the project through a public-private partnership (PPP) is considered a strategic solution, helping to reduce the burden on the state budget and demonstrating effective coordination between the government and private enterprises. The project will not only transform the urban landscape but is also expected to become a cultural symbol, connecting Hanoi's thousand-year history with its aspirations for development.
