At the ceremony, Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem - Vice Chairman of the Executive Council, Head of the Central Propagation Committee, and Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association in Hanoi - read the Buddha's Birthday Message for the year 2570 of the Buddhist calendar from the Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Association.

The message emphasizes the context of a rapidly changing world , with profound impacts on human life globally. In this context, the values of compassion and wisdom in Buddhist teachings continue to be crucial foundations for building peace, strengthening unity, and moving towards sustainable development.
Through this year's Buddha's Birthday celebration, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha calls on monks, nuns, and Buddhists nationwide to continue upholding the patriotic tradition, living "a good life and a beautiful faith," actively participating in building national unity; accompanying the Party and State in socio-economic development, environmental protection, digital transformation, ensuring social security, and contributing to maintaining national sovereignty .
The Church also encourages every Buddhist to cultivate a spirit of service to humanity, apply the teachings of compassion and wisdom to daily life, contribute to building happy families and a peaceful society, and spread moral values in the community.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Sy Truong, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Hanoi City, acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Hanoi City to the development of the capital city in recent years.

According to Mr. Nguyen Sy Truong, monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers in Hanoi have always actively participated in humanitarian and charitable activities, environmental protection, social welfare, and contributed to strengthening national unity.
In the context of Hanoi's goal of building a "Cultural - Civilized - Modern - Happy" capital city, Buddhism in the capital is expected to continue to work alongside the government and people in building a civilized urban lifestyle, spreading social ethics, and caring for vulnerable groups.
As part of the grand ceremony, delegates, monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers performed the ritual of offering incense and making offerings to the Buddha, praying for national peace and prosperity, world peace, and the traditional Buddha bathing ceremony.
On this occasion, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Hanoi City presented 30 savings accounts, each worth 5 million VND, to students and families in difficult circumstances, contributing to spreading the spirit of compassion and sharing of Buddhism to the community.
