To begin the program, delegates enjoyed a cultural performance featuring songs praising the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and the Vietnamese National Assembly ; they also watched the documentary film "The Delegation of National Assembly Deputies and the Provincial People's Council - 80 Years of Development".
Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Tran Dinh Gia reviewed the glorious 80-year tradition of the Vietnamese National Assembly; the process of building and developing the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and the People's Councils at all levels in Ha Tinh province. He affirmed that over the past 80 years, along with the development of the Vietnamese National Assembly, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and the People's Councils of Ha Tinh province have continuously innovated, improved the quality of their activities, and played a reliable role as a bridge between the Party, the State and the People; making important contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the development of the homeland and the country.
Inheriting and building upon the achievements and experiences of previous generations of National Assembly deputies, in the 14th term, the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies has always been united, demonstrating intelligence and courage, upholding a high sense of responsibility, actively participating in discussions, and contributing many high-quality opinions; contributing to the National Assembly's effective work in legislation, supervision, and decision-making on important national issues.
Comrade Tran Dinh Gia emphasized that the meeting was an opportunity for the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council to look back on their formation and development; to continue to uphold the fine traditions of previous generations; to take advantage of the attention, leadership, and guidance of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, as well as the support and cooperation of the government, people, and voters of the province, in order to continue to fulfill the mission of elected bodies, contributing to building the homeland and the country for the goal of "a prosperous people, a strong nation, democracy, fairness, and civilization".
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, National Assembly deputies and provincial People's Council representatives from various periods shared many valuable experiences in their work; and at the same time expressed their determination to continue to promote the role and responsibility of elected representatives in the new context.
Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duy Lam acknowledged and sincerely thanked the important, responsible, and effective contributions of generations of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels in Ha Tinh province to the province's development. He expressed his hope to continue receiving heartfelt and responsible contributions in the future in the process of leading and directing the implementation of political tasks; especially in the preparation of content, conditions, and personnel for the nomination and election of National Assembly deputies for the 16th term and Provincial People's Council deputies for the 2026-2031 term.
The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that Ha Tinh province strives to become a new growth pole in the North Central region, a national center for industry, energy, seaports, and logistics. He also expressed confidence that successive generations of National Assembly and Provincial People's Council representatives will continue to spread the image of dedicated, responsible, and people-oriented representatives, contributing to the sustainable development of the country and Ha Tinh province. The Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and all levels and sectors will always work closely with and coordinate the activities of the National Assembly and People's Council delegations at all levels, meeting the requirements of the new development phase.
On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly awarded the "For the Cause of the Vietnamese National Assembly" commemorative medal to 60 individuals, including former National Assembly deputies, provincial leaders, and officials and staff of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council of Ha Tinh province, who have made significant contributions to the cause of the Vietnamese National Assembly.
