Launching the fifth Dien Hong Award, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien expressed his hope that the works would analyze and further deepen the strategic policies in the laws and resolutions of the National Assembly; increase the critical feedback and supervision of the people; and continue to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, meeting the development requirements of the country in the era of progress.

As reported by the People's Representatives Newspaper, this evening, December 18th, the fourth National Journalism Award Ceremony on the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Award) with the theme "80 Years of the Vietnamese National Assembly" was held at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace, Hanoi .

At the awards ceremony, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Politburo member, Central Party Committee Secretary and Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac presented the A prize to five authors/groups of authors, including: "Rearranging the Nation: Decisions for Growth and Innovation" by the group of authors Hanh Nguyen and Xuan Quang (VietnamPlus online newspaper, Vietnam News Agency); "The 15th National Assembly: A term of '7 Dares' and '3 Decisions'" by the group of authors Hong Hai, Van Dung, Nguyen Thi Thao, Le Huyen, An Binh, Minh Ngoc, and Nguyen Thi Vy (People's Army Newspaper); " When the National Assembly Takes a Step Ahead in Institutional Development" by the group of authors Cao Thang, Hoai Son, Ngo Van Khiem, Trung Hieu, and Truong Giang (Institute of Strategy and Policy of the Fatherland Front, Committee for Culture and Society, Labor and Trade Union Magazine, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Nghe An ); and " Making Institutions a Competitive Advantage" by the group Authors: Tuyet Mai, Le Thi Tuyet, Van Hong, Thu Thao, Thu Huyen, Thanh Trung ( Voice of Vietnam Radio ); "Two-tiered local government – ​​A historical landmark" by the group of authors: Ho Thai, Vinh Loc, Tran Long, Phu Thanh, Quang Tien, Tung Lam, Do Vinh, Van Giang (Vietnam Television).

The People's Representatives Newspaper was awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the National Assembly Office for its active participation in the competition.

The People's Representatives Newspaper had two works that won the B prize: "Human Resources – A Key Factor for Steady Progress in the New Era" by the group of authors Thanh Huyen, Hong Anh, Thanh Tam, Xuan Son, Quang Hieu, Quang Anh, Ngoc Tuan and "80 Years Since the First General Election to Elect the Vietnamese National Assembly: National Assembly Supervision – 80 Years of Accompanying and Creating Development" by the group of authors Anh Thao, Nhat An.

At the ceremony, Central Committee member, Secretary General of the National Assembly - Head of the National Assembly Office, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 4th Dien Hong Award, Le Quang Manh, and Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Hanoi City People's Council, Phung Thi Hong Ha, presented Certificates of Commendation from the National Assembly Office to the People's Representatives Newspaper and 14 outstanding media agencies and the Offices of the National Assembly Delegation and People's Councils – agencies/units that actively participated in and responded to the Award.

Following that, at the awards ceremony, the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and Head of the Steering Committee for the Dien Hong Award, Do Van Chien, launched the fifth Dien Hong Award.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and Head of the Steering Committee for the Dien Hong Conference stated that 2026 is of special importance, as it is the year of the 14th National Congress of the Party; the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; and the first year of implementing the 2026-2031 Five-Year Plan.

In this context, the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and Head of the Steering Committee for the Dien Hong Award, Do Van Chien, affirmed that continuing to organize the fifth Dien Hong Award is of great importance, providing an opportunity for news agencies, press, journalists, and all sectors of the population to continue reflecting and disseminating the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels; contributing to improving the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the activities of elected bodies; strengthening the great national unity, enhancing social consensus, and promoting the rapid and sustainable development of the country.

To ensure the fifth Dien Hong Award achieves even better results, the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and Head of the Dien Hong Award Steering Committee, Do Van Chien, hopes that the submitted works will closely adhere to the key tasks of the country and the National Assembly, widely and prominently promoting the results of implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party; the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; and the renewal of thinking in lawmaking, supervision, and decision-making on important national issues.

These works analyze and further deepen the strategic policies in the laws and resolutions of the National Assembly; increase the critical thinking and supervision of the people, contributing to raising the awareness of law compliance among all organizations and individuals; and continue to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, meeting the development requirements of the country in the era of national progress.
