As society develops, propaganda artists now use fewer palettes and easels, opting instead for computer-aided design. The brushstrokes are executed directly on the screen, making adjustments to composition and color quicker and more convenient. While technology may change, the ultimate goal remains to ensure that each artwork, when displayed, conveys the "fire" of national spirit and the determination of the people.

In reality, the art of computer-generated propaganda poster design requires a seamless combination of artistic thinking and political understanding. To design a visually impactful propaganda poster, the artist must read extensively and carefully study every document, resolution of the Party, and provincial plan to select the most valuable words and symbols. While landscape painting allows for creative expression, with propaganda posters, every small detail—from the star and hammer and sickle to the posture of the worker, the soldier, or the image of President Ho Chi Minh—must be precise and dignified. Even a small error in color or symbolism can negatively impact the propaganda message of the entire poster.
Mr. Bui Duc Huy, Deputy Head of the Cultural and Exhibition Propaganda Department, Lao Cai Provincial Cultural and Film Center, shared: "A successful propaganda poster is not only beautiful and modern but must also ensure absolute political accuracy; that is the requirement for every propaganda poster artist."

The biggest advantage of computer-aided design is timeliness. For major events like the Party Congress or national holidays such as April 30th, September 2nd, December 22nd, etc., the workload is often very intense. A completed design can be reproduced in many different sizes in just a few minutes: from giant billboards hung in public squares to small posters on community bulletin boards, and even posted on social media. This helps to disseminate the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations to people everywhere in a synchronized, rapid, and accurate manner.

Besides political content, the artists also devoted much effort to creating works on propaganda and advocacy themes close to daily life, such as environmental protection, rural development, and combating social evils. The paintings they designed have fresh colors and a more relatable style, making their calls to action less dry and more easily accepted and relatable to people.
Behind the vibrant red and yellow murals on the streets are the countless nights spent working tirelessly in front of computer screens by these unsung heroes. They meticulously plan the composition of their paintings to be both modern and eye-catching, yet still retain a traditional and easily understandable quality, so that passersby can grasp the intended message at a glance.

Artist Dinh Hoang Cuong, from the Cultural and Exhibition Propaganda Department of the Lao Cai Provincial Cultural and Film Center, said: “Many people think that computer-aided design has everything ready-made, just a matter of assembling it, but in reality, it's not that simple. Propaganda posters are a specialized type of graphic art, requiring maximum simplification while achieving the highest level of expressive power. Each artwork must be a sincere and effective call to action.”
Looking back at the nation's history, from the years of resistance and national liberation to the current period of reform and development, propaganda posters have always accompanied the nation's destiny. The artists – the soldiers on the cultural front – are still working tirelessly day and night. They silently contribute, silently beautify the urban landscape, and silently keep alive the people's faith and aspirations in the Party's leadership and the bright future of the country.
The presence of propaganda paintings along the central streets of the provincial capital is not merely decoration, but a symbol of the Party's will and the people's aspirations. Behind these vibrant works are the diligent artists who have chosen colors to create songs of patriotism and national spirit. They continue to use their creativity to adorn their homeland with bright colors, affirming the enduring vitality of a unique art form that always accompanies the country's development.
