Ha Trung meets with retired military and police officers.

On the morning of December 18th, Ha Trung district held a meeting with retired military and police officers to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).

At the meeting, delegates and 158 retired military and police officers in the district reminisced about the glorious traditions of the Vietnam People's Army in general and the armed forces of Ha Trung in particular through traditional films.

Inheriting and upholding glorious traditions, over the past 80 years, generations of officers and soldiers of the armed forces of Ha Trung district have always upheld the heroic traditions of their homeland, demonstrating courage, resilience, and overcoming difficulties to successfully complete their assigned tasks.

Throughout the nation's long struggle, many generations of sons and daughters of Ha Trung have shown revolutionary fervor, eagerly enlisting and fighting on battlefields throughout the country, fulfilling noble international duties, fighting against hostile forces, and safeguarding national security and social order. Many have bravely sacrificed their lives or lost parts of their bodies on the battlefield.

With exceptionally outstanding achievements in building, fighting, and defending the Fatherland, the armed forces and people of all ethnic groups in Ha Trung district have been honored by the Party, State, and Army with many prestigious titles: 6 units awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, 3 individuals awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, 70 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and 2 Second-Class Military Merit Orders.

Even after retiring and returning to ordinary life, through their exemplary ethics, lifestyle, and sense of responsibility towards the community and society, these comrades serve as shining examples for their families, relatives, and the local people to follow.

With their life experience and prestige in the community, these comrades are always enthusiastic and dedicated to building the political foundation and local movements, directly advising Party committees and local governments at all levels on policies and measures in Party building, social management, socio-economic development, and strengthening national defense and security.

Resolutely combating negative manifestations, contributing to maintaining the ideological front, building a spirit of unity and solidarity between the Party committee, the government, and the people, serving as a solid and reliable support for the local Party committee and government, and making a worthy contribution to the development and progress of the district.

The simple acts of these comrades have left a special impression and respect on the armed forces and people of the district; they serve as a shining example for the officers and soldiers of the armed forces in the district to follow.

Speaking at the meeting, Ha Trung District Party Secretary Le Van Dau provided a brief update on the district's socio -economic development and national defense and security situation in 2024; and expressed his hope to continue receiving the attention and encouragement of retired military and police officers.

The exemplary conduct and prestige of our comrades are a valuable asset, a precious resource, and a foundation for the military and people of our district to continue striving to build a more prosperous, democratic, equitable, and civilized Ha Trung homeland, and to join the entire province in achieving the goals set forth in Resolution No. 58-NQ/TW dated August 5, 2020, of the Politburo "On building and developing Thanh Hoa province until 2030, with a vision to 2045".
