In this match, coach Le Quang Trai trusted and gave the opportunity to play to the young talent born in 2008, Tran Gia Bao. The 16-year-old striker knew how to take advantage of it to assert himself, proving why he was named in the HAGL first team's roster. The youngest player in the 2024-2025 V-League scored in the 90+2 minute, contributing to the resounding victory of the mountain town team on the away field.
On the day young talent Gia Bao excelled with his first goal in the V-League, HAGL rose to the top of the table after round 1, with 3 points and a goal difference of +4. Meanwhile, Quang Nam Club, with a 0-4 loss, replaced Nam Dinh Club, currently at the bottom of the table with 0 points and a goal difference of -4.
HAGL Club takes top spot in V-League after round 1
Binh Duong FC, which led the table after the match on September 14, has now dropped to 2nd place, with the same 3 points as HAGL but with a lower goal difference (+1 compared to +4). 3rd and 4th place belong to Hanoi FC and Ha Tinh FC, respectively, with 3 points and a goal difference of +1.
Hanoi Police Club shared points with Hai Phong Club at Lach Tray Stadium, when the two teams drew 1-1. The police team is currently ranked 5th (1 point, goal difference 0), while coach Chu Dinh Nghiem and his team are ranked 6th (1 point, goal difference 0).

The remaining two matches of the first round of V-League 2024 - 2025 took place on the evening of September 15 (SLNA Club met Da Nang Club at Vinh Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City Club met The Cong Viettel Club at Thong Nhat Stadium) with the same score of 0-0 draw. After the opening round, Da Nang Club, SLNA Club, Ho Chi Minh City Club and The Cong Viettel Club ranked 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th respectively on the rankings.
Thanh Hoa FC is in 11th place (0 points, goal difference -1). Binh Dinh FC is in 12th place with 0 points, goal difference -1. The reigning V-League champion Nam Dinh has escaped the last position and is currently in 13th place (0 points, goal difference -1).
