Hai Duong spends more than 31.4 billion VND to support localities in implementing administrative unit arrangement

Residential area officials in Hai Duong city collect people's opinions on the policy of arranging commune-level administrative units and naming new wards.

Vice Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Quan has just signed a decision to allocate more than 31.4 billion VND from the provincial budget (from the 2025 budget reserve) to support funding for districts, towns, and cities to reorganize district and commune-level administrative units in Hai Duong province.

Commune level will be supported with 100 million VND/unit to implement, collect voters' opinions and pass through the Commune People's Council. District level will be supported with funding to implement, develop arrangement plans, develop district-level projects and pass through the District People's Council (calculated by commune of the district level, each commune 50 million VND) and support 381 million VND to print commune and district-level maps.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Home Affairs to coordinate with the Department of Finance to review and arrange more than 1.3 billion VND in the 2025 state budget expenditure estimate of the Department of Home Affairs to perform assigned tasks in accordance with regulations.

The Provincial People's Committee assigns the Department of Home Affairs and the District People's Committees to be responsible for managing and using the funding sources according to regulations; ensuring efficiency, savings, compliance with policies, regimes, standards, and budget expenditure norms. The Department of Finance shall allocate funds, guide and inspect agencies, units, and District People's Committees to make payments and final settlements according to regulations.
