The mid-life upgraded version of the Hyundai Stargazer will officially debut at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025 on July 24.

Before the launch date, the new Hyundai Stargazer X 2026 was suddenly revealed with a sportier and more muscular appearance. The front bumper of the car has a new design with air vents placed on both sides of the corner, wider and sharper. The front and rear bumpers are both equipped with silver decorative strips, creating a more solid, SUV-like feel. The car is equipped with a set of glossy black multi-spoke alloy wheels, placed in black plastic wheel covers - a detail only available on the X version, helping to clearly distinguish it from the regular Stargazer version.
Similar to the standard version, the 2026 Hyundai Stargazer X is equipped with a "H" shaped headlight cluster with more delicate lines, creating uniformity with the rear of the car. The rear lights are also renewed, connected by a high-mounted LED strip, helping to increase recognition and bring a modern visual effect to the overall design. Currently, Hyundai has not announced detailed specifications of the Stargazer X 2026, but according to many sources, it is likely that the car will still use the Smartstream 1.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine, producing 113 horsepower, similar to the previous version. In addition, the overall dimensions of the vehicle are expected to remain unchanged, with length x width x height parameters of 4,495 x 1,815 x 1,710 mm, wheelbase of 2,780 mm and ground clearance of 200 mm. This is a relatively impressive size in the urban MPV segment.
The interior of the upgraded Stargazer X has not been revealed yet, but it is expected to have more comfort and safety features, as well as possibly improved suspension or increased ground clearance to better suit the SUV orientation that Hyundai is pursuing. The dashboard area of the car is expected to be refined to become more modern than the previous version. The second row is a captain's seat with a higher backrest, separate armrests, and electric adjustment. Information about the engine of the 2026 Hyundai Stargazer X is also a mystery. It is likely that the car will retain the same engine as the old version. If so, the car will use a 4-cylinder Smartstream gasoline engine, 1.5L capacity with a maximum capacity of 113 horsepower.
After Indonesia, Hyundai Stargazer and Stargazer X 2026 will continue to launch in other Southeast Asian markets such as Vietnam. Hyundai Stargazer X is currently being sold in Vietnam with prices ranging from 559 - 599 million VND for 2 versions. The Hyundai Stargazer Standard in Vietnam alone costs 489 million VND, which is among the cheapest in the MPV segment. This car line is still imported completely from Indonesia instead of being assembled in Vietnam like other products of Hyundai Thanh Cong.
