In the first four months of 2026, Hai Phong recorded more than 3,000 newly established businesses, far exceeding the growth target.

According to the socio -economic report of the Hai Phong City People's Committee, in April, the city saw the establishment of 925 new businesses, exceeding the target (660 businesses), an increase of 66.27% compared to the same period last year. The total registered capital reached over 5,007 billion VND, an increase of 3.69%.

In the first four months of the year, the city saw the establishment of 3,072 businesses, exceeding the growth target (2,500 businesses) and achieving 41% of the annual plan.

By 2026, Hai Phong aims to establish 6,375 new businesses.

The sharp increase in the number of newly established businesses reflects the business community's confidence in the city's economic development prospects and investment environment.

Notably, in recent times, the Department of Finance has implemented a comprehensive range of solutions to support businesses entering the market, including shortening the time required to process administrative procedures in the field of business registration.

According to the report, in April, the city attracted 33 investment projects with a total registered capital of nearly 12,000 billion VND. Of these, 26 were new and adjusted domestic investment projects outside industrial parks and economic zones with a total capital of over 9,800 billion VND; and 7 were new and adjusted investment projects within industrial parks and economic zones with a total capital of nearly 2,000 billion VND.

In the first four months of 2026, the city attracted 56 projects with a total investment of nearly 56,000 billion VND.
