On November 1st, the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the latest sanctions against 11 individuals and 4 entities linked to North Korea's October 31st launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).

According to South Korean news agency Yonhap , these individuals are suspected of being involved in Pyongyang's arms exports and related goods, including five employees of a company allegedly involved in nuclear and missile development and generating revenue for the North Korean government .
Diplomat Choe Chol-min, who worked at the North Korean embassy in China, was placed on the sanctions list because South Korea accused him of a role in the procurement of ballistic missile components and other dual-use items.
Four entities – including Tongbang Construction, Patisen SA, Kumrung Company, and EMG Universal Auto – are suspected of being involved in North Korea's practice of sending agents abroad to earn hard currency for the regime of Chairman Kim Jong Un.
According to several UN Security Council sanctions resolutions, member states are prohibited from selling and transporting goods to and from North Korea that could be used to develop weapons.
On the same day, a South Korean military official stated that North Korea's latest ICBM launch was its largest long-range missile launch to date, the latest sign of progress in Pyongyang's missile development efforts.
Earlier that same day, North Korea announced the successful launch of the new generation Hwasong-19 ICBM on October 31st. Chairman Kim Jong Un asserted that this was an irreversible step in the development of the country's nuclear weapons delivery system.
According to the North Korean state news agency KCNA, this test set important milestones, affirming the absolute strength of the country's armed forces. The ICBM flew to an altitude of 7,687.5 km and traveled a distance of 1,001.2 km in 5,156 seconds – the longest flight time of a North Korean missile.
