Hanbin: We only live once, so why not dare to try?

Hanbin, the only Vietnamese member of the K-Pop group Tempest, received the most attention during a private press conference on the evening of June 13th.

While answering questions, he repeatedly expressed his gratitude to his Vietnamese fans for their support.

Hanbin: I don't think I'm the most successful.

When asked what motivated him to become a K-Pop idol, Hanbin candidly replied, "I started with passion. I really love K-Pop, and I wanted to become a K-Pop idol. So I worked hard to achieve that."

I don't think I'm the most successful person, and I don't want to compare myself to anyone. Because of my dreams, I strive and work hard on this journey, even when facing difficulties in life.

"We only live once, so why not dare to challenge ourselves? I think about that and try my best."

Hanbin also said that to achieve his dream he received help and support from his family, but: "The even bigger part is the fans who wait for me every day."

Seeing the affection you all have shown me fills me with a burning desire to reciprocate that love and to express my deepest gratitude to you all.

I've always wanted to live a good life and give my all."

Vietnam - South Korea Bridge

Hanbin, whose real name is Ngo Ngoc Hung, was born in 1998. In 2022, he became the fifth member of Tempest, the first Vietnamese male singer in a K-Pop group.

Despite being active for only two years, the group has achieved considerable success, winning several awards such as the Rookie Award and the Promising Artist Award at prestigious Korean music award ceremonies: Asia Artist Award 2022, Seoul Music Awards 2023, and MAMA 2023.

Interestingly, despite being active in South Korea, Hanbin won the Rising Artist award at the We Choice Awards in 2023.

Recalling this award, Hanbin happily said:

"When I found out I won the award, I was still in South Korea and had just returned from training. At that time, I thought I would go back to Vietnam."

I really want to go back to Vietnam, but due to my busy schedule and work, I can't arrange it. My activities are mainly in Korea, yet I'm still loved in Vietnam. Thank you everyone so much."

The Tempest members also consistently express their affection for Hanbin. They shared that thanks to Hanbin, they've been able to enjoy many delicious Vietnamese dishes and even discover Vietnamese music, and they hope Hanbin will win many more awards.

Given the opportunity, Tempest hopes to have more activities in Vietnam, such as filming music videos, releasing Vietnamese songs, and collaborating with young local artists.
