Hanbin - the only Vietnamese member of the K-Pop group Tempest - received the most "attention" during an intimate meeting with the press on the evening of June 13.

When answering questions, he continuously thanked Vietnamese fans for supporting him.

Hanbin: I don't think I'm the most successful.

When asked what motivated Hanbin to become a K-Pop Idol, he frankly replied: "I started with passion. I really like K-Pop, and I want to become a K-Pop Idol. So I worked hard to achieve that.

I don't think I'm the most successful person, and I don't want to compare myself to anyone. Because of my dream, I try and give my best in this journey, even when I encounter difficulties in life.

I only live once, why not dare to challenge myself. I think about that and try my best."

Hanbin also said that to achieve his dream, he had help and support from his family, but: "The bigger part is the fans who wait for me every day.

Looking at the love you have for me, I am always filled with enthusiasm, wanting to repay that love, wanting to send all my gratitude to you.

I always want to live well and give my all."

Vietnam - Korea Bridge

Hanbin's real name is Ngo Ngoc Hung, born in 1998. In 2022, he became the fifth member of Tempest, the first Vietnamese male singer in a K-Pop group.

Although only active for two years, the group has achieved many successes, winning several awards such as the rookie cup and promising artist award at prestigious music awards ceremonies in Korea: Asia Artist Award 2022, Seoul Music Awards 2023, MAMA 2023.

Interestingly, although he works in Korea, in 2023 Hanbin won the Rising Artist award at the We Choice Awards.

Talking about this award, Hanbin happily recalled:

"When I found out I won the prize, I was still in Korea and had just returned from training. At that time, I thought I would return to Vietnam.

I really want to go back to Vietnam, but because of my busy schedule and work, I can't arrange it. My activities are mainly in Korea but I am still loved in Vietnam. Thank you everyone very much."

Tempest members also always express their love for Hanbin. They shared that thanks to Hanbin, they have been able to enjoy more delicious Vietnamese dishes and also know how to "follow" Vietnamese music and hope Hanbin will have more awards.

When there is an opportunity, Tempest hopes to have more activities in Vietnam, such as filming MVs, releasing Vietnamese songs, and collaborating with young domestic artists.
