Meanwhile, Pacific Airlines and Bamboo Airways are the two airlines with the highest on-time performance rates, at 87.5% and 83% respectively.
According to the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority, flight delays have many causes, but the most significant is the late arrival of aircraft. Specifically, VietJet Air had 2,418 delayed flights, Vietnam Airlines 1,403, and Vietravel 110…
Other flights were canceled due to various reasons such as weather and technical issues. Vietnam Airlines canceled the most flights with 50, while other airlines canceled between 1 and 14 flights.
According to the head of the Civil Aviation Authority, to mitigate this situation, the agency has just issued a directive requiring airlines to improve service quality. The Authority has also assigned the Airport Authority to directly monitor all cases of delayed or canceled flights; and requires airlines and related service providers to fulfill their carrier obligations as stipulated.
