The "Aspiration for the Sky" space of the Vietnam aviation industry at the National Exhibition and Fair Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi ) has become a destination attracting a large number of people.

The presence of many businesses and units in the industry such as Vietnam Airlines , Vietjet Air, Vietravel Airlines, Bamboo Airways, Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM), Aviation Technical Services Joint Stock Company (AESC), Flying Legend Company, Vietnam Space Center, Vietnam Helicopter Corporation (VNH) ... brought a vibrant, bustling atmosphere, affirming the strong attraction of the aviation sector.

The design work was carefully prepared, harmoniously combining traditional elements and modern technology to create a visual, vivid space, helping visitors better understand the history, achievements and development vision of Vietnam's civil aviation industry.

Standing out in the area are four realistic aircraft models, of which the IL-14 with serial number VN-C482 is currently preserved and displayed as a particularly valuable historical artifact of the Vietnamese aviation industry. This is the first IL-14 of the 919th Transport Air Force Regiment (the predecessor of today's 919th Flight Group), aided by the Soviet Government in 1957 and officially put into operation since 1958. VN-C482 has a special meaning as it was given to President Ho Chi Minh by the Soviet Union, and served as a special aircraft carrying Uncle Ho and other Party and State leaders on business trips at home and abroad during the anti-American resistance war.

The IL-14 is a light transport aircraft with a fuselage length of 22.31m, a wingspan of 31.70m, a maximum speed of 415km/h, a maximum altitude of 6,500m, a maximum range of 1,700km, and a capacity of 26-36 people with two turboprop engines. The aircraft has an open cockpit, no radar, no landing aids, and its control depends mainly on pilot skill.
During the resistance war against the US, the IL-14 fleet of Regiment 919 at one point numbered up to 13 aircraft, undertaking passenger and cargo transport, international flights, training, military and combat missions, making an important contribution to the development of Vietnam's transport aviation. This fleet completed its historic mission and ceased operations in 1981.
In addition, visitors can also admire the EC-155 B1 helicopter of the 18th Army Corps (Vietnam Helicopter Corporation, Ministry of National Defense) with the ability to fly special aircraft, rescue, transport goods and passengers, carry up to 12 people, and have a maximum flight range of 874km.

The EC-155 B1 is a medium-class helicopter manufactured by Airbus Helicopters (France), equipped with two modern Arriel 2C2 engines. This is a developed version of the famous Dauphin series, highly appreciated for its flexibility and comfort. The aircraft uses a five-blade rotor system to minimize vibration, with a noise level of only under 4.6 dB (lower than ICAO standards), suitable for transporting VIP passengers as well as offshore flights.

Flying Legend Vietnam is the first domestic aircraft manufacturer, cooperating with Flying Legend Italy to manufacture aircraft that meet international standards.

With products such as Tucano Replica (light sport aircraft) and TP-150 (training and patrol aircraft), Flying Legend Vietnam aims to become a light aircraft manufacturer in Vietnam, serving civil and military purposes, contributing to promoting the development of general aviation.

Not only stopping at artifacts, the Sky Aspirations section also brings many attractive technological experiences such as simulated cockpits, simulated models of air traffic control towers (ATC Tower), 3D scanning technology Avatar Booth that allows changing costumes, backgrounds and printing souvenir photos on the spot along with many models, sand tables, modern equipment, interactive screens, 3D videos, satellite models... creating an experience journey that is both informative and attractive.
