On the evening of September 17, tens of thousands of followers, tourists, and people in Tay Ninh province and many provinces and cities across the country gathered in the inner city of Cao Dai Tay Ninh Holy See to attend the 2024 Dieu Tri Palace Banquet Festival.
Along with the Festival of the Supreme Being on the 8th of January, the Great Festival of the Dieu Tri Palace (the festival of the Mother Buddha) is one of the two biggest festivals held annually by Cao Dai followers and Tay Ninh people.

According to Cao Dai religion, first of all, we must worship our parents, then worship the two sacred Parents: Duc Chi Ton and Duc Phat Mau.
At the Mother Buddha Festival, the main ritual is the procession of the Mother Buddha and the Nine Fairies, which takes place from 6 p.m., followed by dragon and unicorn dances; offering trays of five fruits, cakes and jams to pray for favorable weather, national peace, and happiness for the people...
The Dragon Incense Dance is the highlight of the Yao Chi Palace Banquet Festival, attracting many tourists and locals to gather around the temple to watch.
This is a typical cultural feature of Tay Ninh people when the 39 m long dragon travels through a nearly 3 km road with 52 drivers and more than 100 reserve replacements.
On this occasion, Cao Dai followers displayed more than 118 stalls of fruit, cakes, candies, and flower decorations... This year's offerings were evaluated as elaborate and solemn.
The Yaochi Palace Banquet Festival originated from an ancient story of Emperor Wu of Han welcoming the Mother Goddess on the full moon night of the eighth lunar month. This grand festival was first held on the full moon night of the eighth lunar month of the year At Suu (1925) at the house of the High Priest Cao Quynh Cu in Saigon and has been maintained to this day on the middle two days of the eighth lunar month every year.
