Early in the mornings of the exam days (May 30th - June 1st), at many entrance exam locations for 10th grade in Hanoi , youth union members and young people were present from very early on to support candidates and parents. Some guided students to their exam rooms, others directed traffic, and some distributed free drinking water… This bustling atmosphere helped to ease the tension at the school gates during the exam season.

Amidst the many beautiful images of this year's exam season, the story of Vu Nam Phong, a student at Nguyen Cong Tru Secondary School, has touched many hearts.
On May 30th, amidst the throngs of people flocking to the exam site at Nguyen Trai Secondary School (Giang Vo Ward), a young student on crutches slowly made his way through the school gate. Due to an injury sustained before the exam, his movement was more difficult in the early summer sun and amidst the congested traffic in front of the school gate.
As soon as they spotted this special candidate, the youth union members immediately rushed to help. Some helped with crutches, others held umbrellas, and some carried her backpack; all of them assisted her through the crowded area to get to the exam room on time. That moment moved many parents standing near the school gate to silence.
According to Truong Viet Phuong, a specialist from the Culture and Social Affairs Department of Giang Vo Ward, that image is the most memorable for those who witnessed it during this year's exam support campaign.
"What moved us was not only helping the student get into the exam room safely, but also the moment we saw the student's smile and the tearful, grateful eyes of the parents standing outside the school gate," Mr. Phuong shared.
According to Mr. Phuong, at that time, the blue volunteer uniform was no longer simply the uniform of a movement activity. It became a source of moral support, a very timely act of sharing with students during their most stressful time. Just a small act could help them gain more confidence to enter the important exam.

This year, many support models for candidates have been implemented synchronously by Youth Union branches at examination sites, contributing to creating a safe and civilized examination environment.
In Giang Vo ward, youth union members are divided into shifts to be on duty at 6 examination locations in the area, including the following schools: Pham Hong Thai High School, Nguyen Trai High School, Nguyen Trai Junior High School, Giang Vo Junior High School, Thang Long Junior High School, and Thanh Cong Junior High School.

At the exam site at Phuong Trung Secondary School (Thanh Oai commune), the free motorbike taxi service deployed by the youth union left a strong impression on both candidates and parents.

Here, volunteers are ready to assist candidates who are disadvantaged, live far away, or have transportation problems, helping them to arrive on time for the exam.

The most meaningful aspect of these journeys lies not in the length of the trip, but in the pioneering spirit and sense of responsibility of the youth. Each trip is a journey carrying faith and hope.
Today (June 1st), students applying to one of the four specialized high schools in Hanoi – Hanoi-Amsterdam, Nguyen Hue, Chu Van An, and Son Tay – will take an additional specialized subject exam.
