Do Hoang Hen's humane act

Do Hoang Hen dedicated the goal he scored for Hanoi FC on the evening of April 12th to a young boy suffering from a serious illness.

At Hang Day Stadium on the evening of April 12th, Hanoi FC defeated Ha Tinh 3-0 in Round 18 of the LPBank V-League 2025-2026. Naturalized player Do Hoang Hen assisted the opening goal (1-0) and scored the second goal himself.

After scoring, Do Hoang Hen raised both hands to the sky before forming a heart shape towards the stands, dedicating the goal to a special person. That person is Nguyen Son Tung from Thanh Hoa , who unfortunately suffers from leukemia and has undergone treatment for nine years.

Driven by his passion for football, Son Tung was given the opportunity by Hanoi FC to experience "playing the role" of a professional player, interacting and having lunch with the first team on April 11th. This was the time when he had just celebrated his 13th birthday, and also the period when he was going through the most difficult phase of his treatment.

Here, Do Hoang Hen promised to score a goal against Ha Tinh and dedicate that goal to the resilient boy battling a serious illness. This naturalized player kept his promise, demonstrating a humane act, igniting passion and giving strength to Son Tung in particular and cancer patients in general to fight their disease.

Hanoi FC's head coach, Harry Kewell, shared: "Whenever we face difficulties, let's look at people like these. This is extraordinary strength, the true strength within each of us, and that's something I always cherish."
