People are confident in welcoming the new fuel.

Observations at several gas stations in the province show a large number of vehicles arriving to refuel from early morning. Sales staff actively guided customers, answered questions, and provided information related to the use of E10 bioethanol fuel. Operations at the stations were stable. Many customers said they had researched E10 bioethanol fuel beforehand and felt quite reassured using it. Mr. Nguyen Van Thang (Tay Nha Trang ward) shared: “I have been following information about the implementation of E10 fuel on the media recently. On the first day of using it, I researched it more thoroughly and was advised by the staff that this type of fuel is suitable for most vehicles currently in circulation, and also helps reduce emissions into the environment. I support this policy because it both protects the environment and contributes to achieving the country's green development goals.”

Not only car users, but many motorbike riders also expressed their agreement with the policy of widely introducing E10 bioethanol fuel. After learning about it, most customers believe this is a necessary step towards green transportation and sustainable development. Ms. Le Thi Thanh Yen (Bao An ward) said: “I frequently use my motorbike to go to work, so I am very concerned about fuel quality. Knowing that E10 fuel is being widely introduced and has been tested to be suitable for most vehicles in circulation, I feel reassured when using it.”

According to our research, E10 bioethanol fuel is a blend of mineral gasoline and 10% ethanol. This type of fuel has been widely used in many countries for years to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, limit air pollution, and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. The deployment of E10 fuel in Vietnam is being carried out according to the roadmap of the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade , aiming for a green, clean, and sustainable energy transition. Prior to this, the Petrolimex system nationwide had fully prepared the necessary technical infrastructure, supply sources, warehouses, transportation vehicles, and public awareness campaigns to ensure a smooth transition.

In Khanh Hoa, preparations for the rollout of E10 bioethanol fuel have been underway for months. Storage facilities, tanks, transportation vehicles, and retail outlets have been inspected and thoroughly cleaned according to established procedures to ensure fuel quality before distribution. Mr. Ngo Van Van, Deputy Director of Petrolimex Khanh Hoa Co., Ltd., stated: “The company has proactively prepared the necessary conditions regarding technical infrastructure, supply sources, transportation, and staff training to implement the E10 bioethanol fuel business according to the government's roadmap. On the first day, supply and sales proceeded smoothly, meeting the needs of people in the province. We recommend that customers refer to the E10 bioethanol fuel user guide published by Petrolimex to better understand this new fuel and use it effectively during the transition.”

Promoting a green lifestyle.

Khanh Hoa currently has a widespread gasoline and diesel distribution network with 335 gas stations belonging to 94 businesses and 23 main distributors operating in the province. This creates favorable conditions for bringing E10 bioethanol closer to the people and businesses, contributing to the effective implementation of the fuel transition roadmap in accordance with the Government's policy. With a distribution system covering urban areas to rural, mountainous, and island regions, the supply of E10 gasoline is expected to be synchronized and stable, making it easier for people to access this environmentally friendly fuel.

Energy experts believe that switching to biofuels not only has economic significance but also contributes to fulfilling national commitments on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, responding to climate change, and developing a green economy. Ethanol, produced from renewable resources such as sugarcane, cassava, and corn, helps reduce dependence on fossil fuels while creating additional outlets for domestic agricultural production. For consumers, E10 gasoline burns more cleanly, contributing to reduced CO emissions and other pollutants during engine operation. According to technical recommendations, most cars and motorcycles currently in circulation in Vietnam can use E10 gasoline without engine modifications.

Beyond simply changing the type of fuel used, the introduction of E10 gasoline also contributes to raising awareness about environmental protection and encourages the formation of a green lifestyle in the community. Through environmentally friendly consumption choices, people are joining hands with the locality to achieve sustainable development goals.
