The final night was filled with a range of emotions.

The quarterfinals brought together the eight best teams of the season, delivering high-quality matches where speed, precision, and robot coordination played a decisive role.

In the opening match, LH - FOF from Lac Hong University continued to show impressive form when facing TDH - ICTU from Thai Nguyen University. From the very first seconds, the Lac Hong representatives quickly controlled the game with the flexible operation of both robots.

The highlight of LH - FOF was the effective coordination between manually controlled and autonomous robots. The two robots continuously supported each other in collecting, transporting, and arranging martial arts manuals on the chessboard. Thanks to sound tactics and superior deployment speed, the Lac Hong University team quickly completed their winning strategy and activated Kung Fu Master after only 1 minute and 17 seconds of play, becoming the first team to secure a spot in the semi-finals.

In the remaining quarter-final matches, the strong contenders also demonstrated their capabilities. SKH - AUTOMATION overcame SDU - LIGHTNING with a dominant performance to advance. SKH - AST defeated SDU - LEGENDS with a Kung Fu Master victory after a thrilling battle of wits. Meanwhile, DCN - SEEE - 01 overcame LH - IDS in the most tense quarter-final match to complete the list of the four strongest teams in the tournament.

The semi-finals saw competition between LH - FOF, SKH - AUTOMATION, SKH - AST, and DCN - SEEE - 01. The match between LH - FOF and SKH - AUTOMATION was considered the highlight, as both teams possessed fast-paced and effective gameplay.

Right after the opening whistle, LH - FOF was the first team to put their strategy on the chessboard. However, SKH - AUTOMATION quickly responded with precise plays, making the game balanced and exciting.

Unlike their dominant victory in the quarterfinals, LH - FOF faced considerable difficulties against their opponent from Hung Yen University of Technology and Education. The two teams constantly exchanged control of key positions on the board, creating intense attacks and counter-attacks. Many clever strategies were quickly neutralized or replaced by their opponents.

As the game entered its final minutes, the score difference between the two teams remained very close. At the crucial moment, LH - FOF demonstrated superior composure and situational awareness, effectively utilizing high-scoring positions and successfully making several important blocks.

After the judges tallied the scores, LH - FOF won 240-200 to secure their place in the final. This is considered the biggest challenge that the Lac Hong University team must overcome on their journey to conquer the championship.

In the other semi-final match, SKH - AST continued their consistent performance to defeat DCN - SEEE - 01 with a Kung Fu Master victory, thus becoming LH - FOF's opponent in the final match.

The Robocon Vietnam 2026 final was a showdown between the two teams with the best performance in the tournament: LH - FOF and SKH - AST.

From the very first seconds, both teams moved at a very high pace. However, LH - FOF quickly gained an advantage by overcoming obstacles faster and reaching the competition area before their opponent.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, the robots from Lac Hong University continuously collected and transported martial arts manuals onto the chessboard. The seamless coordination between the two robots allowed the team to effectively control strategic positions and gradually create a lead in points.

Not only did LH - FOF excel in speed, but they also demonstrated stable and precise execution in every move. Their strategies were consistently and successfully placed in high-value slots, helping the team maintain their advantage throughout the match.

Meanwhile, SKH - AST strived to accelerate and close the gap. The Hung Yen representatives maintained their familiar precision but faced many difficulties against their opponent's tightly organized game. Counterattacks were not enough to create a turning point as LH - FOF continuously controlled key positions on the board.

With just over a minute remaining in the match, the advantage had clearly shifted towards the Lac Hong University team. With confidence and composure, LH - FOF continued to refine their game, aiming for the ultimate goal: the Kung Fu Master title.

The decisive moment arrived when the final secret technique was precisely placed in the strategic position. LH - FOF officially activated Kung Fu Master after 2 minutes and 06 seconds of competition, closing the final match with an absolute and convincing victory.

The journey to the championship

Mentioning Lac Hong University immediately brings to mind Robocon – the pride of the university, with numerous Vietnamese Robocon championships and three Asian-Pacific Robocon championships. But more than just achievements, Robocon is an environment where Lac Hong University students can hone their creative thinking, technical skills, and ability to solve practical problems.

Immediately after returning from ABU-Robocon 2025 in Mongolia, the faculty and students of Lac Hong University received the competition questions and rules for Robocon 2026. With a spirit of determined effort, Lac Hong University launched the competition and immediately began researching and designing experimental mechanisms. After six months of implementation, the university's robots were almost complete and underwent adjustments to prepare for Robocon Vietnam 2026.

Sharing his thoughts on the competition and the difficulties encountered, Mr. La Khai Khai - Team Leader of the Robocon team from Lac Hong University - said that this year, Hong Kong, hosting the Asia-Pacific Robocon competition, presented an interesting, unique, and very challenging theme for the participating teams. In any task, the two robots had to work together very precisely to score points, and any malfunction with either robot would almost certainly prevent the team from scoring further points.

This year, the most challenging problem for the teams is that the R2 autonomous robot must navigate through a bamboo forest and find martial arts techniques to bring back to the competition arena. The robot needs image processing capabilities, and the flexibility to climb and find its way out of the forest.

To reach this year's championship, the LH-FOF team had to overcome many difficulties. But with determination when entering the Robocon arena, the LH-FOF team achieved 8 out of 9 absolute victories in the Kungfu Master competition.
