The ideal journey and belief

VHO - Nearly 1,000 documents, images, books, newspapers, and propaganda posters about President Ho Chi Minh were introduced in Thanh Hoa, contributing to spreading revolutionary ideals, arousing patriotism, and inspiring a desire to contribute among the younger generation.

On the morning of June 1st, at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Cultural Area (Le Hoan Street, Hac Thanh Ward, Thanh Hoa Province), the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Libraries (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) collaborated with the Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the opening of an exhibition of propaganda posters and documentary photos with the theme "Journey of Ideals and Beliefs," commemorating the 115th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's departure to seek a path to national salvation (June 5, 1911 - June 5, 2026).

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, leaders of Thanh Hoa province, representatives from various departments and agencies, armed forces, youth union members, students, and a large number of citizens, as well as representatives from news agencies and the press.

The exhibition features nearly 200 propaganda paintings, over 300 valuable documentary photographs, and almost 500 books, newspapers, and documentary films about the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh.

The documents on display vividly recreate the 30-year journey of President Ho Chi Minh, a journey filled with hardship but also immense glory, as he wandered in search of a way to save the country.

The exhibition focuses on reflecting the journey of young Nguyen Tat Thanh from Nha Rong Port in 1911, as he set out to find a way to save the country ; the process of approaching Marxism-Leninism and finding the correct path to national liberation for the Vietnamese revolution.

In addition, the exhibition also recreates important milestones in the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh; the special affection he had for Thanh Hoa, and the gratitude and respect of the Party Committee, government, and people of Thanh Hoa towards him.

Many images and documents also depict the outstanding achievements of Thanh Hoa province in studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh, contributing to the widespread dissemination of his positive values ​​in social life.

Bringing history closer to the younger generation.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Van Trung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa, emphasized that Thanh Hoa is a land rich in historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions.

The Party Committee, the government, and the people of the province always remember President Ho Chi Minh's instructions on building Thanh Hoa into a "model province".

According to Mr. Le Van Trung, coordinating the exhibition is not only a professional task but also reflects the deep affection and gratitude of the Party Committee, government, and people of Thanh Hoa towards beloved President Ho Chi Minh.

"Amidst the hustle and bustle of modern life, those working in the cultural field are always concerned about how to ensure that history does not become distant, and that stories about Uncle Ho remain close to the younger generation."

"We hope that each painting, each photograph, and each page of the book at the exhibition will help young people better understand the journey of the young Nguyen Tat Thanh of the past, thereby finding a beacon for their ideals in life, transforming gratitude into practical actions to build the country," Mr. Trung shared.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Libraries, said that the exhibition is an activity with profound political and cultural significance aimed at propagating and educating about patriotic traditions, helping cadres, Party members and the people, especially the younger generation, to better understand President Ho Chi Minh's journey in finding a way to save the country.

Inspiring pride and a desire to contribute.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, a large number of delegates, students, and citizens visited the exhibition spaces.

Nguyen Hoang Anh, a student from Nguyen Trai High School, said that attending the exhibition was an honor for the younger generation.

“Through the photos, documents, and propaganda posters, I understand more about President Ho Chi Minh's arduous journey to find a way to save the country. This makes us even more proud of our national history, and at the same time, more aware of the responsibility of young people in studying, training, and contributing to the country,” shared Nguyen Hoang Anh .

Arriving at the exhibition early, veteran Nguyen Trinh Thuan (72 years old, Dong Quang ward, Thanh Hoa province), who participated in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign in 1975, was moved when looking back at images of President Ho Chi Minh's life and revolutionary career.

Mr. Thuan said that each photograph and each document evokes memories of the glorious years of the nation and the immense sacrifices of previous generations to win independence and freedom for the country.

“Seeing images of President Ho Chi Minh on the occasion of the 115th anniversary of his departure to seek a path to national salvation, I was deeply moved. The more I understand his journey, the more I see the value of peace today. I hope that the younger generation will cherish history, live with ideals, be responsible to their homeland and country, and continue to build upon the achievements that previous generations have painstakingly cultivated,” Mr. Thuan shared.

Delegates offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh before attending the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

The exhibition "Journey of Ideals and Beliefs" is open to the public and tourists from June 1st to June 6th at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Cultural Area, Hac Thanh Ward, Thanh Hoa Province.
