The village of Pờ Sì Ngài, Bản Xèo commune, Lào Cai province, is surrounded by majestic rocky mountains. Due to the high, steep, and rocky terrain, agricultural production is challenging. However, in recent years, nearly 20 Hmong households in the village have joined forces to transform the peak of Pờ Sì Ngài into an attractive new tourist destination.

The Pờ Sì Ngài rocky peak, located on the border between Bản Xèo commune and the former Mường Vi commune, has a steep slope and is full of rocks. In the past, people could only grow corn there, which was not very profitable . In recent years, the Mong people of Po Si Ngai village have built a road to the mountaintop and together transformed the rocky peak into the first tourist and experiential destination in Ban Xeo commune. The path to the summit isn't too far, but it's quite steep, with some sections resembling a "dinosaur's spine," offering an exciting experience for tourists who enjoy conquering high peaks. From above, one can see a vast landscape with majestic mountain peaks, terraced rice fields, and the villages of the Hmong and Giay people nestled on the mountain slopes.
Mount Pờ Sì Ngài has three high points, with a terrain full of jagged rocks. Many of the rock formations have different shapes, creating beautiful photo opportunities. At each high point, locals have renovated and built huts and viewpoints to serve tourists who come to visit and take souvenir photos. In particular, on the wide expanse of land below the highest mountain peak, the Mong people of Pờ Sì Ngài village have designed a recreational and experiential area for tourists.
The simple mills, swings, and thatched huts on the rocky mountains create a space imbued with the unique cultural identity of the ethnic group. The Hmong people have creatively added scenic spots on the mountaintop for tourists to take souvenir photos.
The journey to conquer the Pờ Sì Ngài rocky mountain in Bản Xèo commune offers many interesting experiences for locals and tourists alike.
