More than just a vibrant and exciting sporting event, this occasion also marks the conclusion and evaluation of a serious scientific research project aimed at bringing martial arts closer to preschool children in the capital city.
A healthy and rewarding sports playground for summer.
In late May and early June, when the buzzing of cicadas signals the arrival of summer, parents begin searching for playgrounds that are both beneficial and help their children improve their physical fitness after a year of hard work at school. Against this backdrop, the "Future Warrior Taekwondo Festival 2026" attracted a large number of young martial artists, coaches, and hundreds of parents from across Hanoi .
At the festival, the atmosphere was filled with laughter and excitement, yet also the solemnity of martial arts. The "young warriors" delivered spectacular group performances, showcasing impressive movements, jumps, and quick reflexes. Through each form and kick, they not only demonstrated physical strength but also displayed confidence, discipline, and teamwork – core qualities that Taekwondo aims for.

Sharing his thoughts on the significance of the event, Coach Bui Van Quyet, Head of the Organizing Committee of the "Future Warrior Taekwondo Festival 2026," said: “We organized this program with the desire to create a true Taekwondo festival for children – the future ‘warriors’ of the country. This is a healthy and safe sporting playground, helping children to interact, experience, and cultivate willpower to overcome difficulties from a young age.”
A breakthrough from practical scientific research.
"Future Warrior Taekwondo Festival 2026" is an activity to summarize, observe, and collect practical data after a year of experimental application of the "Taekwondo popularization program for 4-5 year old children in private kindergens in Hanoi" developed by PhD candidate Bui Van Quyet.
Before being widely implemented, the program underwent an extremely rigorous theoretical validation process through the opinions of leading experts to ensure its suitability, feasibility, and especially its absolute safety for the psycho-physiological characteristics of preschool-aged children. Over the past year, data on motor skills, skill development (such as balance, hand-foot coordination, and body control), and children's progress have been scientifically recorded.

Highly appreciating this experimental model, Associate Professor Bui Ngoc (Department of Training and Development - Vietnam Institute of Culture, Arts, Sports and Tourism), representing the council of scientists attending the event, affirmed: “Physical education for children, especially preschool children aged 4-5, requires a very high level of caution and scientific rigor. The Taekwondo popularization program researched by PhD candidate Bui Van Quyet has successfully solved this problem thanks to the harmonious combination of physical education theory and the movement characteristics of martial arts. The practical data obtained from the Future Warrior Day will be an important basis for further refining the model, contributing to bringing this martial art into schools in a more systematic, safe, and effective way.”
Many parents present at the "Future Warrior Taekwondo Festival 2026" expressed their happiness at seeing their children grow, become stronger, and more independent after getting acquainted with the martial arts mat.
With systematic investment in expertise, thorough evaluation from scientists, and the enthusiasm of the coaching team, the Taekwondo program for young children promises to continue spreading strongly, helping the younger generation of Hanoi develop comprehensively in terms of body, mind, and spirit in the coming summers.
