Hoan Kiem Ward People's Council passed a resolution on the plan to merge and rename residential groups.

HNP - On August 28, the People's Council of Hoan Kiem Ward, term I, 2021 - 2026, held the third meeting to review, discuss and approve the Resolution on the plan to merge and rename residential groups in the ward.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Party Secretary - Chairman of the People's Council of Hoan Kiem Ward Vu Dang Dinh emphasized that the arrangement, merging and renaming of residential groups is an important task to concretize the City's policy on streamlining the apparatus and improving the efficiency of the political system at the grassroots level.

"The resolution on merging and renaming residential groups will contribute to stabilizing people's lives, ensuring social security, maintaining security and order, and at the same time creating favorable conditions for the management and operation of local authorities," affirmed comrade Vu Dang Dinh.

According to the report presented at the meeting, after the new Hoan Kiem ward was established from July 1, 2025 on the basis of rearranging administrative boundaries, some residential groups have small populations and are located adjacently, which can easily cause duplication in naming. Therefore, adjusting, combining and changing names is necessary to ensure consistency and suitability with management practices.

The ward People's Council delegates focused on lively discussions, demonstrated a high sense of responsibility, and contributed many frank and enthusiastic opinions before voting to pass this important Resolution.

Closing the session, Chairman of the People's Council of Hoan Kiem Ward Vu Dang Dinh affirmed that the session was a great success, completing the entire agenda. On that basis, the People's Council of the ward requested the People's Committee of the ward and specialized departments and offices to promptly and synchronously deploy steps, especially focusing on propaganda work to create consensus among the people. At the same time, it is necessary to review and update the population database, arrange personnel in new residential groups, and support people in adjusting related administrative documents.
