This is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (1945 - 2025).

Attending the workshop were Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of Vietnam Journalists Association , along with leaders and former directors of many central and local press agencies. On the Hanoi side, there was Mr. Nguyen Doan Toan, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Hanoi Party Committee.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Journalist Nguyen Minh Duc, Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Moi Newspaper, stated that the world is entering the era of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution with profound and comprehensive changes in all areas of social life.
At the same time, our country is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges. The entire Party and people are striving to achieve two 100-year goals: by 2030, the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding, we will become a developing country with modern industry and high average income. By 2045, the 100th anniversary of the country's founding, we will become a developed country with high income.
In particular, in the strong flow of the digital revolution, digital transformation is no longer a trend, but a vital requirement for every press agency. The Party newspaper system, as the voice of the Party Committee, the government and the people of localities, more than anyone else must pioneer in the digital transformation process, strongly applying information technology and artificial intelligence to press activities, creating attractive, multimedia press products that spread strongly, contributing to orienting public opinion, strengthening people's trust in the leadership of the Party and State.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Doan Toan expressed his honor that Hanoi is the host of the Northern Party Newspaper Conference, which is a meaningful event to celebrate the country's major holidays and an important forum for Party newspaper agencies to exchange and share experiences, and together find solutions to improve the quality of press activities in the context of comprehensive digital transformation.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Le Quoc Minh stated that with the strong development of science and technology, artificial intelligence is playing a particularly important role in the digital transformation process of journalism and is an inevitable trend for press agencies to innovate and develop.
However, to successfully carry out digital transformation and effectively promote the strengths of artificial intelligence, press agencies in general and the Party newspaper system in particular must continuously innovate to meet the increasing needs of readers through continuous thinking, innovation, creativity and the creation of new and attractive press products to attract readers, especially in the context of strong social network development as today.
In the context that the whole country is restructuring administrative units and streamlining the apparatus, the Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association affirmed that despite major changes after restructuring and streamlining, the Party newspaper system still maintains its pivotal role in the revolutionary press system; continuing its mission of guiding the public, bringing the Party newspaper system to develop strongly in the new period.

At the workshop, representatives of many press agencies gave presentations on the following topics: promoting the role and responsibility of the press in protecting the Party's ideological foundation; the press in green transformation, digital transformation; artificial intelligence in shaping the press...

At the workshop, Ms. Bui Thi Hong Suong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, gave a speech on the topic "Party newspaper autonomy experience and solutions to diversify revenue sources", emphasizing that to ensure financial autonomy, press agencies must balance revenue and expenditure, using many solutions, such as: increasing revenue from newspaper sales, advertising, media and other legal sources of revenue, while cutting costs.
In particular, to increase revenue from advertising and communication, the press needs to change the way it operates, evaluates events and applies new, flexible methods in the context of strong digital transformation. In particular, it is necessary to constantly improve publications, enhance the quality of content, and make the form increasingly diverse, reliable, fast, and attractive, ensuring the purpose and objectives, aiming towards multimedia and multi-platform journalism to meet the increasing information and research needs of cadres, party members and readers.

Also within the framework of the workshop, Hanoi Moi Newspaper launched a special page to promote "Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress". At the end of the workshop, the Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Moi Newspaper handed over the rotating flag to host the 31st workshop of Party newspapers of the Northern provinces and cities in 2026 to Mr. Nguyen The Lam, Director and Editor-in-Chief of the Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center.
