According to The Times of Israel, Hezbollah forces have evacuated their entire headquarters in Dahieh, a suburb of Beirut, Lebanon. This move comes amid escalating hostilities between Hezbollah and Israel following the death of the movement's military commander, Fuad Shukr, in an Israeli airstrike.
Since the beginning of August, following the assassinations of Fuad Shukr in Beirut and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, there have been reports that Hezbollah is moving its senior personnel out of Beirut in preparation for potential Israeli airstrikes.
Hezbollah forces have also repeatedly fired rockets at Israeli border areas. Hezbollah also attacked an Israeli military base southwest of Safed, in northern Israel, with drones. Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed to have struck Hezbollah targets in the Taybeh and Adaisseh areas near the border.
For the past 10 months, since the conflict in Gaza erupted, shelling on the border between Israel and Hezbollah has continued daily with no sign of abating. The clashes have killed at least 565 people in Lebanon, the majority of whom were Hezbollah members.
