Trade and tourism expectations

For the period 2026-2030, Hiep Duc commune aims to achieve an average annual growth rate of 11% or higher in its gross domestic product. By 2030, the average per capita income is targeted to exceed 95 million VND, meeting the criteria for an advanced new rural commune.

To achieve the aforementioned breakthrough targets, the locality has set forth many key solutions and implemented them in practice to achieve the following economic structure proportions: agriculture, forestry, and fisheries accounting for 23%; industry and construction 38%; and trade and services 39%.

According to the leaders of Hiep Duc commune, the locality possesses potential and advantages in terms of natural landscapes and environment for developing tourism economy in the direction of community tourism and ecotourism. Therefore, at the beginning of the 2025-2030 term, the commune will prioritize planning and promoting favorable conditions for the business community to explore investment opportunities to form tourist attractions and ecotourism destinations at Khe Cai stream, Hon Kem Da Dung, Song Tranh 4 hydropower plant, etc.

In addition, Hiep Duc commune has provincial-level historical and cultural relics, such as Phuoc Son village communal house, Binh Hue village communal house, Lo Ren well, and the Helicopter Victory Monument...

These "prime locations" present opportunities for localities to attract investment, expand tourism linkages, connect tourist routes and destinations along the Thu Bon River, and combine the exploitation of historical and cultural relics, scenic spots, traditional craft villages, and community tourism destinations with neighboring communes.

In addition, the Party Committee of Hiep Duc commune plans to propose the construction of a new Hiep Duc market; focusing on reviewing and compiling a list of commercial and service land to attract investment and build rural commercial infrastructure. At the same time, policies will be implemented to support businesses and households in expanding their operations, participating in trade promotion, and selling their products.

A breakthrough in agriculture and industry.

Formed after the merger of Tan Binh town, Que Luu commune, and Que Tan commune, the new Hiep Duc commune has many potentials and advantages for developing garden and farm economies.

An official from Hiep Duc commune shared that the former Que Luu commune is developing a garden-based economic model with various types of pomelo, durian, mangosteen, and bamboo cultivation for shoots. These models are initially showing promising results.

A typical example is the household of Nguyen Ngoc Chinh, who grows durian, pomelo, and mangosteen on an area of about 2.5 hectares. One hectare of durian trees has about 500 trees, and after 4 years, they bear abundant fruit with a selling price of 90,000 VND/kg. Thus, the harvest from durian trees is many times higher than that from acacia trees.

Aiming for an average annual growth rate of 11%, Hiep Duc commune considers promoting the restructuring of the agricultural sector towards green agriculture, ecological agriculture, increasing added value, and applying high technology to production as important solutions that need to be implemented systematically and scientifically.

Chairman of Hiep Duc Commune People's Committee, Luu Hoang An, shared that the locality will develop characteristic planting and raw material areas with established brands; create conditions for investors to access stable and long-term land for investment in production infrastructure. The locality will promote the development of garden and farm economies associated with the development of OCOP products and rural eco-tourism.

The commune will continue to encourage people to plant large timber forests associated with FSC forest certification, creating concentrated raw material areas to supply manufacturing plants. Research will also be conducted on converting inefficient acacia and rubber plantations to medicinal plant cultivation.

Combine the intercropping of medicinal plants under the forest canopy, prioritizing the planting of native species. Encourage investment in forestry development through cooperative models, production groups, and linkages to promote sustainable effectiveness.

During the period 2026-2030, Hiep Duc commune strives to attract investment in the construction of one industrial cluster and one hydropower plant. To achieve this, Hiep Duc will continue to review, adjust, and supplement the planning of the industrial cluster network to ensure synchronization, uniformity, and alignment with the overall development orientation of Da Nang city. It will effectively implement policies supporting investment in industrial cluster technical infrastructure, and propose budget allocation for land clearance and the completion of the basic infrastructure.

In addition, the commune proactively provides information to attract businesses to invest, prioritizing the development of industries with export potential such as garment manufacturing and deep processing of agricultural and forestry products... in order to create jobs for many workers.
