The Da Nang Department of Education and Training has issued a conclusion in response to a complaint from teachers regarding alleged misconduct by the Principal of Thai Phien High School. The investigation revealed that the principal committed numerous violations.
According to the conclusions of the Da Nang City Department of Education and Training, Mr. Nguyen Ba Hao - Principal of Thai Phien High School - committed violations in the procurement of assets, teaching equipment, and minor repairs to facilities, failing to comply with bidding regulations.
According to the contract, the painting of the classroom blocks was to be done with three coats of Nippon paint, but in reality, only one coat of Pluto paint was used. The documentation lacked a proposal from the facilities management department, a submission form, and a report evaluating the contractor selection plan.
Furthermore, after verification, the Da Nang City Department of Education and Training discovered irregularities at Thai Phien High School regarding the failure to pay teachers for reviewing exam papers and participating in professional training.
Regarding the disbursement of performance-based bonuses for the "Outstanding Performance" award, the principal improperly disbursed over 31.2 million VND to ineligible recipients.
