Effects from Dubai - Da Nang flight route: New boost for tourism in the city of Han River

“Da Nang is a perfect combination of nature and a modern city,” said Mr. Ahmed Alqasimi, Marketing expert of Sharaf Travel (UAE).

From the perspective of a social media content creator, Mr. Ahmed believes that Da Nang will make a strong impression on Middle Eastern visitors, because everything is very different from other famous tourist destinations. “This city has unique experiences, like the cable car to Ba Na, I have never seen anything like that in my home country,” he commented.

Experiencing Ba Na cable car and watching the sea of clouds makes a strong impression on international visitors.

Sharing the same opinion, Mr. Ashfak Ahmed Mahboob Badsha, MICE Manager of Orient Travel Company (Dubai), also highly appreciated the cable car experience to the top of Ba Na when coming to Da Nang: “It is really impressive. The feeling of being in the middle of clouds and fog is an unforgettable experience. The cable car experience to Ba Na needs to be promoted more strongly to attract more international groups and corporate guests. Because this experience is worth it,” Mr. Ashfak emphasized.

Is Da Nang ready for a new wave of visitors?

The Emirates flight route from Dubai to Da Nang from June is predicted by many experts to be a boost to help the city of the Han River prepare to welcome new waves of visitors.

Ms. Janette Stefani said that high-end tourists from Europe can now easily travel directly to Da Nang, without having to transit through Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. “This is very beneficial to attract a diverse range of customers from Europe, such as honeymooners or independent travelers. She also believes that Da Nang has great potential to become a leading destination in the region, as tourism can be exploited all year round due to favorable weather, the city has a warm temperature and the Ba Na peak is cool.

Golden Bridge is considered by travel agencies to be very famous on social networks and is an icon attracting European tourists, especially young people.

Mr. Hasan Gidici, CEO of Global DMC company from Türkiye, said that what makes Da Nang attractive to international tourists is its safety.

Mr. Hasan Gidici also said that Da Nang is a new destination for Turkish tourists, however, thanks to Emirates' flight route and the reception of travel businesses after the survey trip, Da Nang will welcome a new wave of visitors from Türkiye and other European markets.

Da Nang is brilliant at night, especially during the competition nights of DIFF 2025.

The predictions of business representatives are gradually emerging through telling numbers. According to the Da Nang Statistical Office, in the first 5 months of the year, the total number of guests served by accommodation establishments is estimated at 4.6 million, an increase of nearly 21% over the same period in 2024. Of which, international visitors are estimated at 2.2 million, an increase of nearly 36% over the same period in 2024.

With Emirates flights, Da Nang is increasingly attracting the attention of new international tourist markets. The city is looking forward to new opportunities, having just been granted the Prime Minister's Decision on the establishment of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone.
