Promoting Vietnamese products at the Hong Kong Food Expo

The 35th Hong Kong International Food Fair (China) opened at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (China) on August 14 with many fairs taking place on the same day and will last until August 16 (for foreign enterprises) and August 18 (for enterprises in Hong Kong (China)).

Within the framework of the Fair, the Vietnam Trade Office in Hong Kong (China) participated and organized a joint booth to introduce Vietnamese products to businesses and consumers in Hong Kong (China). The booth of the Vietnam Trade Office in Hong Kong (China) with the participation of 6 Vietnamese businesses brought very typical products for the Vietnamese food and food industry such as: Rice, coffee, macadamia nuts, high-quality bird's nest, dried seafood and health-enhancing products such as black garlic, polygonum multiflorum, cordyceps, curcumin turmeric, panax notoginseng...

The products that Vietnamese enterprises bring to this Fair are not only beautiful in form and design but also attract consumers because of their high quality, food safety and environmentally friendly production. During the Fair from August 14 to 16, Vietnam's booth attracted a large number of enterprises, trade contacts as well as visitors in Hong Kong (China).

The International Food Fair is one of the most important events in the food industry in Hong Kong (China). The fair is a meeting place for leading exporters and importers in the international and regional food sector as well as in Hong Kong (China). In addition to the International Food Fair, there are also the Housewares Fair, the Cosmetics - Health Food Fair, the Consumer Food Fair and the International Tea Fair. The five events organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (China) from August 14 to 18, 2025 attracted 1,890 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and territories around the world .

According to the Hong Kong Statistics Department (China), in 2024, the total two-way import-export turnover between Vietnam and Hong Kong (China) reached 39.3 billion USD, an increase of 25.6%. In the first 6 months of 2025, the total import-export turnover between Vietnam and Hong Kong (China) reached 29.5 billion USD, an increase of 63.2% (ranking 4th among the main trading partners of Hong Kong (China)), of which Vietnam's exports to Hong Kong (China) reached 16.6 billion USD, an increase of 70.7% (ranking 4th), Vietnam's imports from Hong Kong (China) reached 12.9 billion USD, an increase of 54.4% (ranking 3rd). Food and foodstuffs are one of the important import groups of Hong Kong (China) from Vietnam, reaching a turnover of 372.7 million USD in 2024 and 212.9 million USD in the first 6 months of 2025, an increase of 19.1% over the same period in 2024./.
