This morning (August 19), General Secretary To Lam attended the inauguration ceremony of the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC).
Also attending were Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

The event marks an important milestone, among 250 key projects inaugurated and started construction to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
After only nearly 10 months of construction, the exhibition complex with a total area of over 900,000m2 has taken shape on Tu Lien bridge road (Dong Anh, Hanoi), established as the largest exhibition center in Southeast Asia and Top 10 in the world.

The heart of the complex is the Kim Quy exhibition building - an iconic structure with a giant steel dome weighing 24,000 tons, 56m high, simulating the image of the Kim Quy God - a sacred spirit associated with the legend of the Co Loa heritage land. With an area of about 130,000 m2, the Kim Quy exhibition building is designed with 9 halls and 1 large central hall, an ideal space to organize thematic exhibitions and large-scale events, with a diverse hall system and an area optimized for a variety of types of displays.

The exhibition ecosystem also includes a permanent exhibition center (block A); 4 outdoor exhibition yards (East - West - South - North); the largest international-class conference center in Vietnam - VinPalace Co Loa with a scale of 16,800 m2, 12 banquet and conference halls with different capacities from hundreds to more than 5,000 people. In addition, there are exhibition support areas such as green parks and regulating lakes; a food court of more than 3,000 m2; a parking lot of more than 18 hectares, with a capacity of more than 10,000 seats...
This is also the venue for the Exhibition of National Achievements 80 Years of Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day from August 28 to September 5.

Right at Kim Quy Exhibition House, the central hall with the theme "95 years of the Party flag lighting the way" will recreate the brilliant milestones under the Party's leadership. The main hall with the theme "Vietnam - Country - People" is a place to honor the beauty of Vietnamese culture, nature and people.
In the outdoor area, the East yard will have the theme "National Festival" with a folk festival atmosphere. The West yard will have the themes "Aspiration for the Sky" and "For a Green Future", displaying model airplanes, introducing cuisine from three regions and clean energy solutions. In particular, the South yard with the theme "Sword and Shield" will be the place to display special weapons and equipment of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security, demonstrating the strength to protect the Fatherland.
In addition to the National Exhibition and Fair Center, Vingroup also inaugurated and started construction of five socio-economic, transport, industrial, urban and tourism infrastructure projects in Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Ha Tinh, Tay Ninh and Dong Nai.
Including: Inauguration Ceremony of the construction of May Chai Bridge (Royal Bridge) and the access roads on both sides of the bridge belonging to the Vu Yen Island Entertainment, Housing and Ecological Park Project (Vinhomes Royal Island) - Hai Phong; Commencement of construction of an 18-hole international standard golf course in Quang Hanh, Quang Ninh, with a scale of about 100 hectares; Investment, construction and business project of Vinhomes industrial park infrastructure started in Vung Ang, Ha Tinh; Commencement of the Phuoc Vinh Tay new urban area project (Tay Ninh) with a scale of about 1,089.6 hectares.
