The "Dance of the Lagoon Birds" art photography contest is organized to raise public awareness of biodiversity conservation, especially wild birds in the Central coastal lagoon, and at the same time create a creative artistic playground for professional and amateur photographers across the country.
This is also an opportunity for photographers to capture vivid and unique moments of birds in the lagoon space typical of the Central region - a place where wild beauty, richness of natural life and unique ecological value converge. Through the images, the contest contributes to promoting and spreading the message about the importance of protecting nature, conserving wild birds and their habitats.
Accordingly, the contest will start accepting works from August 18 to October 31, 2025. Participants include all Vietnamese citizens living and working nationwide; Students, researchers, professional and amateur photographers, forest rangers, conservationists, lecturers, scientists , and local people are encouraged.
The content of the works focuses on reflecting images of birds living or migrating in lagoons and coastal areas, especially rare, endemic species, those at risk of extinction, and those threatened with loss of habitat (habitat). Typical biological moments of birds such as nesting, breeding, foraging, interacting with the environment or other species. Typical ecological landscapes of lagoons, relationships between birds - mangroves - mudflats - communities. Effects and threats to the decline in the number and distribution of bird populations. Actions, initiatives, models for protecting birds and habitats; images of communities participating in education and ecotourism associated with birds.
The prize structure will include 1 First Prize: 5,000,000 VND; 1 Second Prize: 3,000,000 VND; 2 Third Prizes: 2,000,000 VND; 3 Photo Prizes voted by the audience: 1,000,000 VND; 2 Photo Prizes voted by the Organizing Committee: 1,000,000 VND. The winning and excellent works will be exhibited at the Central Coastal Nature Museum and posted on a digital platform.
