A positive effect was that immediately after the book's launch, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022), several businesses in Soc Son district, such as Toan Nang Co., Ltd., Thanh Binh, Cuong Loi, and the Phu Lo Jasmine Association, voluntarily contributed 172 million VND to express their gratitude and honor the 43 historical figures named in the book, with each contribution being 4 million VND.
The impact of the book "Following in the Footsteps of Phu Dong" is not limited to the district but has spread to neighboring provinces and Catholic communities... Among the 43 historical figures named in the book, there is a rather special case. That is Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hanh (Hamlet 1, Quang Ngan Commune, Quang Dien District, Thua Thien Hue Province), a relative of martyr Phung Thi Bich Phung – a teacher who shielded her students from shrapnel during the anti-American war at Tien Duoc Primary School (Soc Son District, Hanoi ) and bravely sacrificed her life. Because the martyr's relatives live far away, the organizing committee tracked down her address to send gifts of gratitude directly to Mrs. Hanh, much to the gratitude of her family, relatives, and the local community of Quang Ngan Commune, Quang Dien District, Thua Thien Hue Province.
In the Lap Tri parish (Minh Tri commune, Soc Son district), there is a figure named Maria Bui Thi Lich mentioned in the article "Mother, You Will Always Be Our Mother." Mother Lich was a devout Catholic. After receiving a gift of gratitude from the district, Mother Lich's daughter-in-law recounted the story to the head of the parish, who decided that on the anniversary of Mother Maria Bui Thi Lich's death that year (July 24, 2022), the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren would gather to listen to the head of the parish read the article "Mother, You Will Always Be Our Mother," printed in the book "Following in the Footsteps of Phu Dong," vowing to emulate Mother Lich, upholding the Catholic way of life of "Good living and beautiful faith," "Walking alongside the nation," always "Respecting God and loving the country," and "Living the Gospel in the heart of the nation to serve the happiness of our compatriots."
The book "Following in the Footsteps of Phu Dong" has created a positive social impact and is regarded by families of martyrs whose names are listed in the book as a sacred memento to commemorate those who bravely sacrificed themselves for the people and the country.
