Vietnam women's volleyball team shocked Thailand and... Coach Kiattipong

Before the final match of SEA V.League (Southeast Asian women's volleyball championship), Coach Kiattipong affirmed that Thailand will defeat Vietnam women's volleyball. The Thai women's team has been at the top of Southeast Asian women's volleyball for many years (even in the top of Asia), superior in experience, attacking ability and game control.

In fact, Thailand took the initiative and won both first sets in the match last night (August 10). However, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's reasonable tactical adjustments and Bich Tuyen's brilliant performance helped the Vietnamese women's volleyball team make a spectacular comeback with a score of 3-2.

"It's really regretful to lose to the Vietnamese women's volleyball team. We expected a difficult match when playing on Vietnam's home field. The Thai players played their best. The same goes for Vietnam, they used their best players to face us," Coach Kiattipong affirmed.

The SEA V.League championship affirmed the remarkable growth of Vietnamese women's volleyball under the coaching of Mr. Tuan Kiet, along with the good performance of key players such as Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Bich Tuyen and a squad of young players.

On the other hand, the Thai women's volleyball team affirmed that the defeat against Vietnam in the SEA V.League was an opportunity to reflect before stepping onto the world stage.

"We need to analyze and prepare carefully for the upcoming world championship as well as the SEA Games at the end of the year in Thailand. At the SEA V.League, we saw many potential factors. Thailand's tactics and playing style today all followed the plan, but Thailand could not beat Vietnam," Mr. Kiattipong commented.

Thailand captain praises Bich Tuyen

Meanwhile, Thailand's main striker Ajaraporn praised the Vietnamese women's volleyball team for having a match beyond expectations.

"Today's defeat has given us many lessons. Everyone will have to review their mistakes, go back to practice to correct them, and promote their strengths.

I also want to praise the Vietnamese women's volleyball team. Today, they performed very well. They have a quality scorer (Bich Tuyen). Actually, their scorer is very decisive. He is almost the only one who scored for them today," Ajaraporn affirmed.
