It is expected that by January 20th, all 14,742 poor and near-poor households and families receiving preferential treatment in Thai Nguyen province will receive Tet gifts in cash, with a minimum amount of 600,000 VND per household, and a gift bag worth 500,000 VND.
Speaking with a reporter from Dai Doan Ket Newspaper, Mr. Duong Van Tien, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen province, said that it is expected that by January 20th, all poor people, near-poor people, and policy beneficiary households in the province will receive Tet gifts for the 2025 Lunar New Year. The total cost of the gifts is approximately 15 billion VND, of which the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee will transfer 4.8 billion VND to localities.
From January 13th until now, Thai Nguyen province has also assigned leaders from the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee, along with various departments, to distribute gifts to households and policy beneficiaries in localities throughout the province.

Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, visited, extended New Year greetings, and presented gifts to families receiving preferential treatment, those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution, and impoverished households in Pho Yen city. The delegation distributed 100 Tet (Lunar New Year) gift packages to poor and near-poor households in Tan Huong, Nam Tien, Dong Cao, and Tien Phong wards (each gift package worth 1.2 million VND).
In addition, the Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee visited and presented gifts to Mr. Tran Duc Kiem, born in 1947, a war invalid and resistance fighter who was exposed to chemical toxins, and Mr. Do Xuan Truong, born in 1950, also a war invalid who was exposed to chemical toxins; both reside in Tan Huong ward.

A delegation led by Mr. Pham Hoang Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council of Thai Nguyen, visited and presented gifts to two Vietnamese Heroic Mothers: Mother Pham Thi Nhi, born in 1937, residing in Ba Van 4 hamlet, Binh Son commune; and Mother Duong Thi Nang, born in 1926, residing in Vinh Quang 1 residential area, Chau Son ward.
Mr. Pham Hoang Son visited and expressed his deep gratitude to the Heroic Vietnamese Mothers; wishing them a peaceful and happy Lunar New Year of the Snake, good health, and that they continue to be shining examples for their descendants to follow.
The delegation visited the Song Cong City Party Committee to present gifts to poor and near-poor households during the "Peak Week of Tet for the Poor" in 2025. There, Mr. Pham Hoang Son and other delegates presented 100 Tet gift packages to poor and near-poor households in the city.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, led a delegation to visit, present gifts, and extend New Year greetings to families of those who rendered meritorious services to the revolution and 100 poor and near-poor households in Phu Luong district.
Chairman Nguyen Huy Dung presented Tet gifts to four families receiving preferential treatment, including: Mrs. Le Thi Ty, mother of a fallen soldier, in Pho Trao hamlet; Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, a war invalid and victim of chemical poisoning, in Pho Trao hamlet; Mr. Tran Ngoc Kim, a veteran and victim of chemical poisoning, in Khe Thuong hamlet; and Mr. Luong Van Dien, a veteran and victim of chemical poisoning, in An Khe hamlet.

Mr. Duong Van Tien, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen province, led a delegation to visit and present Tet gifts to 100 poor households in Dinh Hoa district (each gift worth 1.2 million VND).
In addition, Mr. Tien visited, extended New Year greetings, and presented gifts to families of those who rendered meritorious services to the revolution (each gift worth 1.3 million VND), including: Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, born in 1953, residing in Tan Tien 4 hamlet, a war invalid with 21% loss of health; and Mr. Nguyen Van Quat, born in 1950, residing in Tan Tien 3 hamlet, both in Tan Duong commune. He also authorized the leaders of Dinh Hoa district to present gifts to the family of Mr. Hoang Hong Thanh, born in 1950, residing in Quyet Tam hamlet, a war invalid with 81% loss of health; and presented gifts (worth 1.2 million VND each); and extended birthday wishes to Mrs. Ngo Thi Nham, born in 1930, an elderly person residing in Vu Luong hamlet, both in Trung Luong commune.
