According to records on the morning of January 27 (28th of Tet), car wash prices have increased 3-5 times compared to normal days, averaging from 200,000 - 300,000 per car (including car wash and vacuuming services, not cleaning the interior).

Car washers these days work tirelessly to serve customers' needs from morning to night.

At a car wash near Cau Giay park, a long line of cars waited their turn to be washed on the morning of January 27.

Mr. Truong Hung (My Dinh, Hanoi) said that because his usual car wash shop has been closed since the 27th of Tet, today he had to take his car to a car wash shop in Cau Giay area to wash it. "The price is quite a bit higher, only 50,000 VND on normal days. But it's Tet, so I have to accept it to have a nice car."

At some fast car washes without a lift system on Tran Quang Khai Street (Hanoi), the price for a car wash is 250,000 VND, if vacuuming and cleaning the interior, it is about 1,00,000 VND, this price increases by 600-700,000 VND compared to normal days.

Ms. Huong - owner of the establishment on Tran Quang Khai street said: "The demand for car washes is very high near Tet. We have to wash continuously, sometimes we don't have time to rest."

"The number of people coming to wash cars has increased since around December 25, averaging 60-80 cars/day," Ms. Huong added.

Most customers come to wash their cars to go home or prepare for a trip, so they choose the full car wash and interior cleaning package.

Not only cars, motorbike wash shops are also crowded these days, prices range from 40,000 - 60,000 VND/vehicle (about 4-5 times higher than normal days).
