According to Pham Thi Thu Dan, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Chau commune, in recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has actively coordinated with various sectors and socio- political organizations to effectively implement key tasks with diverse and practical contents and methods, focusing on the grassroots level, promoting the strength of national unity, and actively contributing to socio-economic development alongside the political system.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front at the commune level focuses on carrying out propaganda, mobilization, and gathering of all strata of the people, creating high unity and consensus in society. At the same time, it concentrates on disseminating information and mobilizing the people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations; actively participating in and responding to emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Central and provincial authorities.

Recognizing that propaganda and mobilization are key and ongoing tasks, the Hoa Thuan Hamlet Front Committee implements them through various rich forms, suitable to the local conditions and each target group. The Front Committee always focuses on understanding public opinion, the thoughts and aspirations of the people, through meetings, interactions, and dialogues to promptly reflect the legitimate opinions of the people to the Party Committee and government, contributing to strengthening trust and creating social consensus. Influential figures among ethnic and religious communities, retired officials, and intellectuals play a vital role in disseminating information and mobilizing the people to participate in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the locality.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh, Head of the Front Committee of Hoa Thuan hamlet, said: “Through effective propaganda and mobilization efforts, we have contributed to raising people's awareness of complying with the Party's guidelines and policies, and the laws of the Party and State, promoting local socio -economic development, and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people. In particular, social evils have been pushed back, and security and order have been ensured…”

Upholding the spirit of mutual support and compassion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Chau commune, in coordination with the local government, actively mobilizes resources to care for the poor. The commune actively encourages the people to donate land, contribute labor and money to build bridges and roads, carry out social welfare activities, and build new rural areas... with many effective and practical approaches. Over the past five years, An Chau has raised over 22 billion VND for the poor and social welfare fund. Through this, they have organized visits and gift-giving to policy beneficiary families, poor and near-poor households; provided emergency support to those facing difficulties, helped people overcome natural disasters and epidemics; built 50 new solidarity houses; constructed bridges, repaired roads, and installed streetlights. To date, there are no more temporary or dilapidated houses in the commune. 100% of families in the commune receive timely support and assistance when facing natural disasters or emergencies.

The dream of owning a sturdy house has come true for the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem Kieu, residing in Hoa Long 3 hamlet. Ms. Kieu and her four children no longer live in their dilapidated temporary home. A 48m2 solidarity house was handed over to her, with a total construction cost of over 60 million VND, funded by local government fundraising and family contributions. “Thanks to the government’s support, my family now has a new, sturdy house like this. I will work even harder to provide a better life for my children,” Ms. Kieu happily shared.

According to Ms. Pham Thi Thu Dan, for the 2025-2030 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of An Chau commune will continue to innovate its content and methods of operation in a practical, flexible, people-oriented, and grassroots-oriented manner; promoting its core role in building and consolidating the great national unity. At the same time, it will proactively grasp the situation, promptly reflect the legitimate aspirations of the people, and participate in building a clean and strong Party and government. An Chau will promote democracy, create social consensus, encourage patriotic emulation movements and practical campaigns linked to socio-economic development, and maintain national defense and security in the locality.
