The provincial police force leads the emulation campaign "For the security of the Fatherland".

Emulation Cluster No. 7 of the Ministry of Public Security comprises the police forces of An Giang, Ca Mau, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, and Tay Ninh provinces. In 2025, the Party committees and directors of the police forces in these provinces will focus on developing and implementing programs and plans, assigning specific targets for each area to guide police forces at all levels in their implementation. Following the provincial mergers, the police forces in these provinces received five state management tasks transferred from other sectors. Therefore, the provincial police forces have proactively coordinated with all levels, sectors, and localities to advise Party committees and governments on effectively implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and tasks and solutions to ensure security and order, effectively handling emerging issues and preventing any passive or unexpected situations.

Major General Nguyen Van Han, Director of the An Giang Provincial Police, stated that, in its role as the Cluster Leader, the An Giang Provincial Police proactively monitored the situation, advised and proposed to the Party Committee and the government to implement comprehensive measures, launching numerous intensive campaigns to strongly attack and suppress all types of crimes and violations of the law. They decisively directed investigations, achieving an overall case resolution rate of 83% (exceeding the target set by the Ministry of Public Security by 8%); the resolution rate for very serious and especially serious cases reached 92.3%, exceeding the target by 2.3%; and the handling of crime reports and denunciations reached 93.2%, exceeding the target by 3.2%.

Simultaneously, the four tasks transferred after the reorganization of the administrative apparatus according to the two-tiered local government model were effectively implemented. Party building, force building, and logistics were strengthened, especially the reorganization of the provincial-level police apparatus. The commune-level police force operated in an orderly and effective manner. Many good models and effective methods in the nationwide movement to protect national security were replicated, notably the Provincial Police Department advising the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to issue a resolution and plan to build Phu Quoc Special Zone into a "Model Unit for Security, Order, and Urban Civilization".

With the above results, the Provincial Police promptly commended small groups and individuals who directly achieved outstanding results, focusing on nurturing and promoting positive factors, good examples, and good deeds... This created a vibrant atmosphere of emulation, helping officers and soldiers strive to complete their assigned tasks well, and gaining the approval, support, and high praise of the people. Although the crime situation has been basically controlled and reduced, it still occasionally remains complex, especially cybercrime; the traffic accident situation also remains complicated…

Major General Cao Dang Hung - Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security - highly appreciated the efforts of the units in the emulation cluster, noting that the An Giang Provincial Police Department had effectively fulfilled its assigned role and achieved high results, rightfully earning the leading position in the cluster's emulation. In the coming time, the units in the cluster need to outline specific actions to create highlights and outstanding achievements in the emulation movement, and should review the emulation targets to ensure they are more appropriate and meet even greater requirements. Colonel Nguyen Thi Thuy Thanh - Deputy Director of the Political Affairs Department - commended the achievements of Emulation Cluster No. 7. She also expressed her hope that the police forces of the provinces in the cluster would continue to focus on leading and directing the launching and implementation of practical and effective emulation movements, strengthening the motivation and encouragement of officers and soldiers directly involved in combat. Leverage the support and assistance of local Party committees, government authorities, and the people to improve the quality and effectiveness of the "For National Security" emulation movement, creating widespread impact.

Through the implementation of the 2025 emulation movement, the police forces of the 5 provinces in Emulation Cluster No. 7 had 2,128 collectives and 10,679 individuals honored with commendations and awards from the President, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Public Security, the chairmen of the provincial People's Committees, and the directors of the police forces of the 5 provinces in the cluster (An Giang had 339 collectives and 3,943 individuals), contributing to encouraging and motivating officers and soldiers to strive to excellently fulfill their assigned tasks.
