Attending the conference were Comrade Nguyen Minh Luan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Comrade Ho Trung Viet, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Provincial Party Committee; along with leaders of departments, agencies, and localities; representatives of the Department of Health , medical examination and treatment facilities, and leaders of communes and wards throughout the province.

Resolution No. 72 is identified as a major, long-term strategic policy of the Politburo regarding the cause of caring for, protecting, and improving the health of the people; it serves as the basis for all levels and sectors to concretize it into programs and plans suitable to local realities, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.

Speaking at the conference, Director of the Department of Health Nguyen Chi Thanh emphasized the determination to innovate, improve the quality, efficiency, and sustainability of the health system; focusing on improving the quality of medical examination and treatment; strengthening grassroots healthcare and preventive medicine; developing human resources; and promoting communication and guidance to encourage people to proactively prevent diseases and take care of their health at the grassroots level.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan presented Government Resolution No. 282/NQ-CP, the Government's action program, and the Provincial People's Committee's plan for implementing Resolution No. 72.

In line with the core content of Resolution 72, the Provincial Party Committee's Action Program, and the Provincial People's Committee's Implementation Plan, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Ho Trung Viet, emphasized the need to innovate thinking in healthcare, shifting from "treating diseases" to "preventing diseases," and promoting the proactive role of each citizen in protecting their health.

Implementing Government Resolution No. 282/NQ-CP, the Government's action program, and the Provincial People's Committee's plan for implementing Resolution No. 72, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan requested that departments, agencies, and localities urgently develop specific action programs and plans; strengthen communication, inter-agency coordination, inspection, and supervision; and proactively prepare human resources, improve mechanisms and policies, and enhance the quality of grassroots healthcare, aiming to improve the quality of life and extend healthy lifespans for the people.

The conference was held online at the Provincial People's Committee headquarters and in 64 communes and wards throughout the province.

The conference demonstrated Ca Mau province's determination to concretize Resolution 72 of the Politburo, contributing to building a sustainable healthcare system that meets the requirements of caring for, protecting, and improving the health of the people in the new era.
