Awakening the Mesmerized was produced, mixed and arranged by musician Pham Hai Au, mixed by Thanh Tam, and the mastering was done in the US.

Talking about the reason for choosing only a male voice in his album, Ho Tien Dat said: "For the past 2 years, I have always been looking for a male voice that suits my music. Everything started when I agreed to write music for the movie Cay Tao No Hoa , with the song Thuong , I suddenly thought of Trong Bac because I liked the experience and emotion in his voice. And he expressed exactly what I envisioned for the song. From then on, I thought why don't we join hands to do a joint album project." In addition to Trong Bac's voice, Ho Tien Dat invited Nguyen Ha to sing the only duet in the album - Khi trai tim tan ra vi yeu .
