Many villages have been honored by prestigious domestic and international travel magazines, becoming attractive destinations for domestic and foreign tourists.

This land is also a convergence of cultural identities of ethnic minorities (Mong, Dao, Giay); many famous tangible and intangible cultural heritages (ancient stone fields, terraced fields...) and special landscapes (Fansipan peak - the roof of Indochina); a locality with advantages of cool, mild climate, majestic and poetic scenery... has been creating a strong attraction, making Ta Van a typical community tourism destination, attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists.

In fact, over the years, Ta Van commune has affirmed its position on the tourism map of Lao Cai province with many rural tourism products, community tourism, experience, culture, ecology... and ancillary services developing in quantity and quality. Ta Van's tourism products have contributed significantly to positioning the brand of the 5-season festival event chain imbued with the cultural identity and landscape strengths of Sa Pa National Tourist Area. Up to now, the commune has over 300 tourism and service businesses, including over 200 homestays. It is estimated that the number of tourists to the area in 2025 will reach over 1.5 million.

Mr. Cao Ba Quy - Chairman of Ta Van Commune People's Committee shared: Coming to Ta Van today, you have to walk along the trekking routes or move along the running route of the Vietnam Mountain Marathon (VMM) to see all the inherent beauty of this land. In addition to the existing villages, we still have many "reserves" with great potential for tourism development, such as Seo My Ty lake area or the primeval forests of Hoang Lien range that have not been properly exploited.

Grasping its potential, strengths and position, in the new period (2025 - 2030), Ta Van commune has identified sustainable community tourism development associated with poverty reduction as one of two breakthroughs with the goal of developing and standardizing typical community tourism products. At the same time, associated with effectively exploiting resort tourism products such as homestay, trekking, agricultural - forestry experience tourism combined with adventure sports tourism, conquering peaks; cultural tourism associated with preserving and promoting the value of traditional heritage of ethnic groups... Especially linking tourism development with job creation for local workers and sustainable poverty reduction. The commune sets a target that by 2030, the number of visitors staying in the area will reach over 500,000.
