Mr. Phan Duc Thanh, residing in area 10, O Mon ward, was guided and supported by members of the Team to complete marriage registration procedures and submit documents online.
Established in early July 2025, the O Mon Ward Youth Union's "Digital Education for the People" Team has 10 members who are cadres and youth union members with knowledge of information technology and proficient in using computers and smartphones. The "Digital Education for the People" Team operates on a voluntary basis, closely linked to propaganda work, raising public awareness of digital transformation, and encouraging people to actively use online public services.
Mr. Le Tran Hoang Thien, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Secretary of the ward Youth Union, and Captain of the "Digital Education for the People" Team, said: "When it was first established, the Team members were trained by the Ward Public Administration Service Center and instructed on skills to guide people to use online public services on digital platforms. From the beginning of July 2025 until now, each working day, the Team is divided into 2 shifts, morning and afternoon, each shift has 5 members on duty at the Ward Public Administration Service Center to welcome, guide, and support people from getting a queue number, filling out forms, to logging into VNeID, using online public services to submit documents...". For the elderly and illiterate, Team members use the people's smartphones to log in and submit documents online; For those who do not have a smartphone, the Support Team members can submit their application online on the computers provided by the Public Administration Service Center.
At the beginning of the week, there were quite a lot of people coming to the O Mon Ward Public Administration Service Center to do administrative procedures. Although busy, the members of the "Digital Education for the People" Team were always friendly and enthusiastic in guiding and supporting people to do procedures and submit documents online. Mr. Nguyen Huu Dai, a member of the Team, shared: "I am always on duty at the Public Administration Service Center from Monday to Friday every week. On average, I support 30-50 people to do administrative procedures and submit documents online every day. The work is a lot, but I always try to help people access and effectively use online public services, contributing to promoting the digital transformation of the locality".
Mr. Phan Duc Thanh, residing in Area 10, O Mon Ward, happily said: "With the enthusiastic help of the Youth Union members, after only 15 minutes I completed the online application for marriage registration." Ms. Thai Thi Thuy Loan, residing in Thoi Hoa B Area, O Mon Ward, expressed: "I am not familiar with technology. Thanks to the guidance of the Youth Union members, I was able to quickly complete the application for a copy of my birth certificate to apply for a visa to Korea."
According to Mr. Le Tran Hoang Thien, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Secretary of the ward Youth Union, from the beginning of July 2025 to now, on average, each day, members of the "Digital Popular Education" Team have supported over 100 people in completing administrative procedures, submitting online applications, and accessing online public services. The ward Youth Union will continue to increase the number of members of the "Digital Popular Education" Team to 15-20 people to ensure good service to the needs of the people; deploy members of the Team to 1 area each week to support people in submitting online applications, aiming at the goal of people submitting online applications at home.
