Support playground equipment for children in mountainous areas of Nghe An

Playground equipment including slides, swings, seesaws, physical exercise equipment, etc. are arranged in village cultural houses or community activity areas, to create a safe and healthy play space for children, especially in the approaching summer of 2025.

Since the end of 2024, 101 villages in extremely disadvantaged communes in Ky Son district (Nghe An) have been supported to install playground and entertainment equipment for children. This is an activity chaired by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province to coordinate the implementation of Resolution No. 20/2022/NQ-HDND of the People's Council of Nghe An province on a number of policies to support the development of grassroots cultural life.

This activity has practical and humane meaning, contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of children in remote areas, while also perfecting and promoting the effectiveness of community cultural and sports institutions in localities. Currently, the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Ky Son district is coordinating with the People's Committees of related communes to deploy site clearance, receive equipment and organize installation.

The playgrounds are expected to be completed and put into use in May 2025, in time to serve children during the summer vacation. Local authorities and people in supported villages need to actively coordinate, ensure effective use, long-term maintenance of equipment, contributing to creating a positive and safe living environment for children.
