In recent times, many models of book sharing and reading inspiration have been born and effectively promoted in localities across the country, such as "village bookcases", "family bookcases", "friendly libraries", "mobile libraries" with various scales and the cooperation of many agencies, departments and kind-hearted individuals.
Reading culture is honored and spread in many flexible ways such as small book fairs in residential areas or schools, exchanging scrap for books, exchanges between authors and readers, free reading spaces in coffee shops or community cultural houses...
The program “Supporting the construction of 100 bookcases across the country” was born with the goal of contributing to the creation of more open reading spaces, where knowledge is not only preserved but also shared, becoming a bridge between generations and communities. The bookcases are built in unlimited locations, from remote schools, local libraries to common living spaces in residential areas or offices.

"We believe that a small bookshelf can open up big dreams. Each individual can contribute a small part to bring books to the community, so that each bookshelf is not only a place to store knowledge but also inspires inspiration, habits and a spirit of lifelong learning," shared Ms. Ta Lien Huong, CEO of Alpha Books.
According to the representative of the organizing committee, all the books provided are new, carefully selected, suitable for many different groups of readers such as students, workers, businessmen and general readers.
The forms of participation are designed flexibly, creating conditions for all individuals and organizations to participate according to their wishes and capabilities. Specifically, the companion can choose appropriate contribution levels such as packages of 3 million VND (100 books), 5 million VND (180 books) or 10 million VND (400 books and a set of photos to decorate a professional bookshelf).
In addition, the program supports free shipping within Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to optimize costs and delivery time. With the message "Knowledge is shared from small actions", the organizers hope that the program will contribute to forming a widespread network of community bookcases.
From small bookcases to diverse community library models, the above activities all have the same goal: to arouse the love of books, bring books closer to everyone, especially those who have little access to books. This is a vivid manifestation of the socialization process in developing a reading culture, when people, organizations and businesses join hands to contribute to the sustainable journey of knowledge.
