Miss Mai Phuong Thuy hospitalized for emergency care

Miss Mai Phuong Thuy worried her friends and fans when she shared a photo of herself being hospitalized on her personal page. She said: "I was eating hot pot and felt dizzy and had difficulty breathing. I took a taxi to the hospital myself." Along with that was a photo of the beauty lying on a hospital bed in the emergency room.

In response to the concern from many colleagues and audiences, Mai Phuong Thuy replied: "Thank you for asking, when I feel better, I will reply". Notably, this time, like the previous times, the beauty queen still went to the hospital alone.

Mai Phuong Thuy has repeatedly shown signs of health problems. In 2019, she was hospitalized due to stomach pain and exhaustion. A year later, the beauty queen suffered from physical weakness due to prolonged insomnia.

By 2021, Mai Phuong Thuy's health continued to deteriorate when she had to be hospitalized in the middle of the night due to a heart attack and difficulty breathing. "I had a heart attack and difficulty breathing at night and went to the hospital... I hope I can get out in time tomorrow morning to go to work," she confided at the time.

In 2023, the beauty queen was hospitalized again due to high fever and exhaustion due to overwork. Relatives said: "With a huge workload, Mai Phuong Thuy 'collapsed' after a period of trying. Her body could not take it anymore and had to go to the hospital to get an IV."

According to Mai Phuong Thuy, she often has health problems such as fever, joint pain, stomach pain, and vestibular disorders. In 2024, she was hospitalized again due to food poisoning.

Mai Phuong Thuy was crowned Miss Vietnam 2006 at the age of 18 with an impressive height of 1.79m. She represented Vietnam in Miss World 2006 and entered the top 17.

Instead of being active in showbiz, Mai Phuong Thuy chose a separate path focusing on business. Currently, she is involved in real estate, stocks and investing in the film industry.
